Alternative Curriculum

Stockton Riverside College offers a wide range of academic and vocational programmes for 14 to 16-year-olds at multiple venues across the local area. All of our courses are delivered by highly qualified teachers and industry professionals in dedicated classrooms, workshops and training environments.

We also have a dedicated 14-16 Alternative Provision Manager who will work closely with all young people and parents/guardians from initial enquiry through to successful completion and achievement. Our main aim is to provide all young people with life and academic skills and knowledge to transition to post-16 education, employment or training.

SCHOOL STUDENTS

The school will make initial contact with the 14-16 Alternative Provision Manager to discuss the learner’s needs and possible courses.

ELECTIVELY HOME EDUCATED STUDENTS

Electively home educated students and their parents/carers/Local Authority (EHE) may approach the 14-16 Alternative Provision Manager directly through the contact details given.

The majority of our 14-16 provision is delivered at The Skills Academy.
