If you’re super creative and love video games, one of our creative media courses could be perfect for you. You will learn the technical skills and knowledge to develop your ideas and watch them come alive.

You’ll learn how to use industry-standard kit such as Autodesk Maya and Epics Unreal Games Engine, and last year 100% of our students who applied to go to university were offered a place!

LEVEL 2 - 1 YEAR WHAT WILL I DO?

With a focus on practical work, you will be creating your own projects and assignments in our design studios. Working to briefs based on the real world you’ll get to see what life’s really like in this vibrant industry.

YOU NEED:

A relevant level 1 qualification or four GCSEs at grade 3 or above.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Progress to our Games & Animation Level 3 course or a level 3 extended diploma in a creative subject such as film and TV production or art and design.

LEVEL 3 - 2 YEARS

WHAT WILL I DO?

This creative course provides a fantastic opportunity to learn how to create computer games in one of the fastest developing creative industries in the world. You will gain a solid foundation of the creative processes involved in 3D modelling, environment design, character design, animation, concept art, and games engines. You will learn how to take your ideas and turn them into a fully working video game.

This course will teach you the skills, techniques and creativity needed to be a part of producing games and animations. This course can be worth the equivalent of three A levels at grade A.

YOU NEED:

A passion for creativity with a minimum of five GCSEs grade 4-9, preferably including English and maths, at least one of which should be in a creative subject. Alternatively, an equivalent level 2 qualification in a relevant creative subject.

Applicants should have a keen interest in drawing (by hand or digitally). You will be creating your own artwork for animation and games design.

WHAT’S NEXT?

You can apply to progress onto a university degree that allows you to focus on your specialism.

If you don’t have English and maths at GCSE grade 9-4, you will continue to work towards this as part of your main programme of study.
