Estjam: A Brief Overview
Estjam was established in 1998 with the purchase of 5 CFA ewes from Shellal Poll Dorset. Another 11 CFA ewes were purchased in 1999. Estjam quickly expanded to 50 ewes after the purchase of 20 ewes from the Pyree Plains dispersal sale in 2001.
Estjam are currently running around 80 specially selected stud ewes. We have sourced out genetics from Rene, Tattykeel, Baringa, Shellal, Hillden, and more recently Gooramma.
Estjam rams are highly sort after for their clean heads, growth for age, muscle pattern, length and for their typical downs wool. All ewes must be able to rear a lamb each year without supplementary feeding. Lambs sired by Estjam rams regularly top the market and 90% of them are sold straight off the ewe.
Pair of ram lambs by Gooramma 102 out of Ribeye daughters, both out of maidens. Showing great muscle development, fat coverage and structural soundness at 4.5 months old.

All sale stock offered are grass fed and run under commercial conditions to suit the Western District environment.
All sale stock offered have been vaccinated with 6 in 1 vaccinated B12 and drenched on 28th August 2023. Sale rams are catalogued in reference to weight on 11th September 2023.

Gooramma 180682, used over 7 flocks throughout Aus. Came to ESTJAM as an older ram. Ideal for maidens, lambs are born on average 4kg and grow very quickly. Positive fat.

Rangeview 210158: Champion Ram Campbell Town, TAS, used as an AI sire for 2023 drop lambs. These lambs are really something special; thick, moderate, full of meat and structurally sound.
Gooramma 220228, used heavily at Gooramma as a lamb. Purchased at 2023 sale in conjunction with NZ Poll Dorset studs Cairnlea and Wilkins Farms.

Comments: 220085, needs no introduction. He is a paddock favourite here and who ever sees him, he was a stand out as a lamb and he has just got better and better. Massive HQ, big bone, great top line. His dam has produced a full brother to him for 2023 and he is a mirror image. How good are these 102/ribeye crosses, a fine example. Pair mate to Lot 1.
