Dear reader, The focus topic of this, the ESTIEM Magazines’ 51st issue, is disruptive technologies. Disruptive technologies, upon release, impact the entirety of our society and change the way we see the world. They can do that by transforming business, global economy or life itself. This issue of the magazine will delve deeper into this topic and explore how these particular technologies shape the industry and approaches to it. ESTIEM and the ESTIEM Magazine have been around for a long time now, both of which have been greatly impacted by the emergence of different disruptive technologies. Both have had to be flexible and adapt to the changing environment around themselves. Even right now the world is changing in a manner that neither can stay the same and flourish. The only thing

You need to know how to present yourself in the best way and how to use networking to bring the message across. Last autumn, we started a website where we have been publishing reviews of the books we read. We did it because we love reading and we believe it is one of the best ways to find new ideas. Writing for BetaGlyph turned out to be a great learning experience in itself, as we challenged ourselves to structure our thoughts and interpret each book more carefully. But before we go there, let me tell you a bit more about how it all started. It was a sunny September day and I met up with my
