Meet Jamie Van Waes Spa Manager/Esthetician Welcome to the modern boutique EI spa! My name is Jamie Van Waes and I am one of the passionate clinical estheticians at the spa as well as the spa manager. In 2009 I decided to make a career change; I was working in dental for a few years and decided that I wanted to pursue my true passion in the Esthetics industry. Going back a few years... Upon graduating from high school I graduated from the Cosmetology program and ever since then (which was in 2003) I have always wanted to continue my pursuit with Esthetics. I couldn’t wait any longer so in 2009 I took my full program esthetics course at the Esthetic Institute and graduated with honors and a couple of years later I decided to expand my knowledge and graduated from the clinical program with honors. I have a deep fondness for this industry as it brings me so much joy to be able to help others in my own way. Each day is a gift! The industry changes so much and anyone who knows me knows I love that! I change my hair on a regular basis because I find inspiration in others and the latest trends excite me! Currently I have a shaved head, I did that 2 years ago and have not looked back. I wear my heart on my sleeve and build relationships on trust and honesty. The EI spa is a beautiful boutique spa that was opened in 2016 in the SE of Calgary. It started off with a solo aesthetician and has grown into a beautiful, amazing team of 7! We are a growing spa and everyone is truly passionate and caring about what they do. We have a loving team who cares for each and every client that walks through our doors. We are proud to offer a variety of relaxation treatments, essential treatments and clinical skin and body care needs. Our team is continually learning and growing it makes it so exciting everyday as we are always on top of the latest advancements, treatments and techniques out there. Being able to offer a variety of treatments to our clients and new clients is amazing as we can cater to their specific needs and that is really special to us. Clients who trust us with their daily skin care needs is a true honor for all of us at EI Spa. We are an eager, exciting and loving team who have a deep connection to what we do. We would not be where we are today if it was not for our amazing family support, incredible team and lovely clients. I always go back to the word ‘passionate’ and I do this because I believe it perfectly describes the EI Spa. Passionate: A strong desire that can get you to do amazing things every day.
