Meet Ashley Watt Owner of Sucré Welcome to Sucré Body Sugaring Boutiques! My name is Ashley Watt and I am the passionate owner of the two sweetest sugaring boutiques in beautiful Calgary. In 2005, I rented a small space for a few months in Calgary and tried my hand at “sugaring”. While staying at home with my two toddlers, I had a burning desire to start my own business and noticed a perceived gap in Calgary’s Sugaring market. There simply weren’t any Sugaring boutiques solely dedicated to offering both women and men this sweet, less painful and all- natural form of hair removal! I decided to take a huge risk in an unknown and unheard of market and open up Calgary’s niche Sugaring Boutique right downtown Calgary on busy 17th Ave. I became Calgary’s very first salon solely dedicated to the wonderful technique of Sugaring. My biggest hurdle upon opening my doors was the lack of education in regards to the sugaring process and I made it my mission to inform women and men that there was a much sweeter alternative to waxing. Instantly, women’s bikini services became what we were known for. I wanted women to have a safe place where they could feel at home through warmth, laughter, great conversation and understanding. That became my mission. Fast forward to 2018, Sucré grew from just myself working endless hours to start up the business and spread the love for sugaring to welcoming eleven amazing and dedicated full time practitioners. Thanks to my amazing clientele and many blessings, my 17th Ave location reached its full capacity and all six rooms were fully booked consistently from open to closing hours. I decided to take another deep plunge and open my second location in the SE of Calgary in wonderful Mckenzie Towne. Thanks to my practitioners, I have now been able to spend my time training new additions and overseeing both locations. Customer Service and ensuring a 100% client satisfaction for ALL treatments has become what we’re known for. Most currently, I have also been able to work closely with a chemist and laboratory making and perfecting Sucré’s very own product line! Operating a small business has been the most challenging task to date but with the unwavering help of my husband, family and friends, I am able to chase this dream. With the help of my clients and fellow coworkers, I have been able to create two feminine and judgement free spaces where both men and women can feel safe and at home. I have been very blessed and am eternally grateful! I will continue to learn and bloom.
