The building was deem structurally unsafe and had to be torn down. Amazingly the building was torn down, rebuilt and open for business on June 3.

All stakeholders will now have access to a researched teaching tool with input from several amateur sport organizations, professional athletes, and national sporting advocate groups with the same message: that a growing body of research suggests that specialization – the intense, year-round practice of a single activity at the expense of others – is dangerous for the youngest athletes, while picking a sport later on is in fact more likely to lead to a healthier athletic career.

Yes, I am talking about that ghastly moustache. You know the one, that we all say reminds us of an ‘80s adult film star.
one ever looks at my getup and has had the thought, “what the heck does she have going on there?”
There are few men who call pull off that ‘stash, and my hat is off to you. It takes a lot to maintain. But most, meh. It just does not jive.
There are certain fashion types that just need to stay in the past, one is the aforementioned moustache. Others include tie-dye shirts, bellbottoms, oversized shoulder pads, those 1970s eyeglasses with the oversized lenses, and those baggy, super-oversized jeans from the ‘90s that could fit two people in them.
Oh, and one of the things that has become acceptable, but really should not be, is wearing sweats or pajammas to the grocery store. I say that, sure I have been guilty of that at some point.
I do think it is okay, however, every once in a while, to take a good look in the mirror and genuinely ask ourselves, “What do I have going on here?”

BMPs are developed by government and industry experts using ongoing research and best available science, and help guide farmers on the best ways to approach everything from managing pests, controlling soil erosion and proper land drainage to nutrient management planning, notill crop production and managing irrigation.
In fact, farmers are sometimes called the original environmentalists because of the many things we have long been doing to look after the land that is in our care – and the new practices we’re adopting on an ongoing basis as part of a long-term approach of continual improvement.

“On behalf of the County of Essex, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, a remarkable woman who led a life of extraordinary service as Canada’s reigning monarch for more than 70 years.
Farmers more than most people have a very close relationship with the environment. We depend on air, soil, and water to grow our crops and raise our livestock, so we know first-hand how important it is to care for and nurture our natural ecosystems as best as we can.
The Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) works in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and AAFC on BMP development and to produce detailed guidebooks for farmers on how to implement those BMPs on farms across Ontario. Many BMPs have also been incorporated into the Environmental Farm Plan (EFP), a voluntary program launched by farm organizations with support from government in 1993 to help farmers assess where and how they can make ourthewhichEFPhavefarms.improvementsenvironmentalontheirOver40,000peopleparticipatedinthesinceitslaunch,furtherhighlightsstrongcommitmentsectorhaslonghadto

Following the public presentation Joanna Conrad, Executive Director of Youth Diversion, made to Essex Council in July, it was hoped she could meet with members of the Essex Police Services Board members.
Her idea was that because the money was returned by good Samaritans, Verbeek wanted a way to honour that. So, she came up with an idea to have a contest in Essex, where people could submit a name, accompanied with a short essay outlining the good deeds that person has done.

ERCA requests County support submitting grant for Flood Hazard Identification

ERCA wants to submit an application for the program to help fund much-needed coastal flood hazard mapping updates for the Essex County region, which would provide better understanding of potential climate change impacts, Bryant said.
He said FHIMP is a federal funding mechanism, through Natural Resources Canada. It is administered through the province’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests. The program will fund $7.1M to municipalities, conservation authorities, and Indigenous communities to support flood mapping projects falling under three categories: data acquisition, flood hazard modelling, and dissemination of flood hazard information. Some of the projects, Bryant said, will fall under more than one of the categories.ERCA worked closely with the County of Essex previously to complete the Essex County Flood Prioritization Study last year, which evaluated the flood risks across the region.
The information in that study proved valuable in getting a large grant for natural disaster mitigation, which

Recruitment was delayed and the position was filled later in the year, which generated savings. Additional savings from a long-term medical leave and wage recoveries from the Essex County Library for interim leadership support are contributing to the departmental surplus in wages.

He asked the County to submit a letter of support to accompany the submission, outlining the benefit these maps would provide to the local coastal communities.
Building on that past success, ERCA is looking to partner with the County again to update the Regional Coastal Flood Hazard Mapping, which was last captured in 1976.“Much has changed since that time, including development trends and availability of technical resource information,” Bryant said, noting the Regional Coastal Flood Hazard Mapping is in dire need of updating to support regulatory obligations under the Conservation Authorities Act and with municipal obligations under the Provincial Policy Statement.

The letter notes the financial success of greenhouse operations, which have grown exponentially over the last three decades, has bolstered provincial and federal tax revenues, however, “Local property tax revenues are

County sends letter re: Level the Field – Residents Are Paying for Greenhouse Growth
“Offload delays are an inefficient use of precious Paramedic resources and an obvious and ongoing risk to public safety. They have a negative impact on Paramedic morale and public faith in the system, the quality of emergency care, and the use of precious tax dollars. This problem can only be solved through provincial leadership and province-wide action,” the letter states.
During the recent Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference, Warden of Essex County, Gary McNamara, said County reps let their voices be heard regarding two issues. One of which concerned residents paying for greenhouse growth.

Essex County Council Notes...

It continues that the Province can emulate successes in New Brunswick and Quebec, where there is a culture that places a priority on having Paramedics on the road, by implementing several targeted measures for hospitals, including: creating incentives to meet 30-minute offload targets and enforce consequences; triaging patients brought in by Paramedics as a first priority, implementing Fit-toSit programs; developing escalation plans mobilizing all levels of the hospital to deal with emergency department surges and offload delays; and creating standardized measurements and reporting between hospitals and paramedics to ensure consistent and accurate data collection to inform decisions.
ANTIQUE YARD SALE - Friday & Saturday, Sept. 16 & 17, 9am - 4pm at 15751 County Rd. 8, between Essex and Pauquette Corners. Included other household items.
The letter urged the Province to work with MPAC in order to create a separate property tax classification for large-scale greenhouses that lets single and upper tier municipalities set the rate. This will provide municipalities with a way to collect property taxes that are more inline with the significant burden of large-scale greenhouses.

Dad is reunited with his true love of 46 years, Jane (Red) Whitson, whom we lost in 2000. He will be missed greatly by his daughters Lindy Masse (Dennis), Brenda Ryall (Edward), and Shelley Laramie. Special father to Shane Renaud (Magda). Grandfather to Stephen, Kenneth, Jason (Tiffany), Jonathan (Sarah), Nathan (Sarah), and Sara. Great Grandfather to Thea and Sophie. Ewan Woodsit, a Polish immigrant, came to Essex County to farm over 100 years ago. With his sister and small family left in Poland, Ewan sent for his wife Parasha and son Ely. They all faced a new country, new way of life, new language, and new surname since many immigrants had their names changed at the border.

Complex also has potential to grow as an event centre. She said the future location for Fire Station 3 is a big decision and hopes it will be heavily vetted.
He believes the extension would be great for tourism, allowing for fishing, bench areas, and walking out to the end point. He suggested, if there is interest, a 20-year program be utilized to make it work.

Jake Morassut, Director of Community Services, said he could reach out to the Ministry to see what steps need to be done in order to accomplish that, and provide that info for Council to get an understanding of the process.Councillor Jason Matyi

She noted she has received complaints about these slogans from residents, who were most concerned about some of them being up around schools.
Chief Building Inspector, Kevin Carter, spoke of the Sign By-Law, but also suggested not proceeding on the matter, because of the Charter of Rights.Councillor Chris Vander Doelen agreed with Carter, noting such slogans have

Bondy also spoke of finding the future location of the new Fire Station 3 facility. At a previous Council meeting, it was suggested the Harrow Soccer Complex be used as the future site. “After the release of the album, we wanted to keep the momentum going, but with no opportunities for live performances, we decided to keep the wheels moving and create some new music,” Latam noted. “We just tried to meet whenever possible. Originally, it was not going to be a record at all, but as the lockdowns continued, we eventually had enough music for an EP.”

Staff also noted there would be additional costs to developers to do so, and further noted there is limited right-of-way space available.Councillor Vander Doelen has spoken in support of sidewalks in the past. He liked that Matyi had brought up this idea. He suggested, perhaps, instead of every street in developments being required to have sidewalks on both sides, an alternative Council could consider having that requirement on the main street in a new subdivision.
