Season two picks up right after the last episode’s cliffhanger finale. After risking their lives to save their children, Mother and Father survive their journey to the planet’s fiery core. They arrive at the much-yearned-for ‘tropical zone’ and find themselves surrounded by a group of atheists. All decisions are made by a machine called The Trust and the couple is thrilled by the fact that reason now prevails over religion. However, once again, they are forced to battle a force that thinks it knows what is best for their children.

In Season One of Bridgerton, we met Daphne – a woman who attempts to avoid a loveless marriage with a foolish Lord by stirring up a fake romance with the Duke of Hastings. In Season Two, the star of the show will be Daphne’s brother, Anthony. Scorned by his exlover, Anthony resolves to marry for duty, not for love. Anthony’s father has died young and he fears he will suffer the same fate. He prefers not to fall in love or allow someone to love him enough to miss him when he’s gone.
