Coming up with client hospitality, staff teambuilding days or partner celebration events that move away from traditional activities such as sporting events, black tie dos and outdoor pursuits, can seem a little daunting.
BUT GARETH BOYD, MANAGING DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER OF TOURS AROUND CHESTER, has developed a series of guided food and drink walking tours that are helping put Chester businesses on the map, with something different in terms of corporate hospitality. Working with independent businesses across the city, Gareth’s tours are combining lesser-known facts about Chester and pop quizzes, with an insight into the diverse hospitality offering that some visitors – or even locals – don’t already know about.

Celebrating Chester’s independents
Currently Gareth has developed relationships with around 15 independent venues around the city, offering such culinary delights as Thai platters and Cheshire cheeses, through to Italian-style pizzas, speciality ciders and beers, and even Polish dumplings.
