Chester Beer and Wine has been described as a 'true emporium of delights for the lover of beer and wine'.

With all its wines, spirits and miniatures carefully hand-picked by owner Sam Jackson to be the best they can get and all the beers lovingly chosen by its resident beer guru, Dave Calver, that description might well be true.

Originally founded in Hoole, Chester Beer and Wine is now located in Handbridge and has become an essential stop for connoisseurs of fine beverages. Beyond the shop, it now has an Upstairs Wine Bar & Tasting Room too.

Not only can you call in for a delicious selection of wines by the glass and bottle, or one of the huge range of bottled or canned beers, but you can also book the space for private functions. Sam explains: “Since we opened the doors of the Wine

Bar and Tasting Rooms, we have hosted all sorts of functions here, from charity events, book clubs and private parties to networking and corporate events. We are happy to provide the space and bar, or set up speciality-tutored tasting sessions. We have held wine, beer, gin and whiskey tastings so far, but we can adapt these sessions to suit whoever is booking the event.”

The team at Chester Beer and Wine is helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and unpretentious – just what you want when you’re coming in to enjoy a good old browse, or would like some advice on your selection. For more information on booking an event, visit www.chesterbeerandwine.co.uk
