Our second VOX networking for 2023 took place in March at the wonderful Chester Beer and Wine, situated in Handbridge.

OUR HOSTS TREATED US TO A SELECTION OF TASTY WINE AND BEER

– so much so that many of our delegates left with bottles to take home which they purchased at the end of the session. Our guest speaker on the night was Donna Okell from B Leader and founder of UK for Good.

She gave us a fascinating and inspirational presentation on the importance to good business practices – which gives equal importance to the planet and its people, and business profit. She also explained B Corp and Better Business, and how she hopes it

Future dates

Our summer networking takes place at Croes Howell in Llay on Thursday 22 June. As with all our quarterly networking events, it will run from 17:00 – 19:00.

Join us for networking and fabulous refreshments at Croes Howell in Llay on Thursday 22 June. Wrexham has been in the news a lot recently and has seen a marked increase in international interest. It received City status in 2022 and is currently working on its bid for City of Culture. With so much going on, we have invited Joe Bickerton, Wrexham Tourism Manager, to talk to us about the city's plans.

Our last networking event in 2023 takes place upstairs at Artezzan in Chester on Thursday 21 September. We are delighted to announce our speaker is Louise Minchin, who will be talking about her new book, which she launched back in May.

In addition, the restaurant is offering a 20% discount on the night, for anyone that books in for dinner after the networking, so it’s sure to be a good evening.
