Individual Tutoring Reimbursement Program

Families can get reimbursed for the cost of tutoring by applying to the tutoring assistance fund. This MFRC program is open and available to all military teens until the end of 2020. Funds are limited so applications will be assessed and awarded based on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to youth in grades 7 through 12. Applications and more information is available on our website at esquimaltmfrc.com/tutoring. Complete the quick one page form and email it to kellyaucoin@emfrc.com or drop it off at our CPAC office. Help your student bounce back from missed classes due to COVID-19 school closures!

MFRC Youth Programs

The MFRC is committed to supporting youth and family wellness. Staff at the centre work with youth between the ages of 12-19 years old who are experiencing mental health, social, and emotional challenges. The Esquimalt MFRC provides a variety of services for youth and their families including: • Individual counselling • Family counselling • Groups and workshops • Support navigating mental health systems • Referrals • Resources Additionally, the MFRC works with local community partners to provide opportunities for youth and families. These include: • Presentations/workshops: FamilySmart ‘In the know’ presentations offered monthly to parents, providing information on various topics pertaining to youth mental health • Tutoring: Funding for individual and group tutoring for youth • Volunteering: Volunteer opportunities with the MFRC and other local organizations Programming has been reduced to ensure the safety of our participants. We are only offering programming that will allow for social distancing and proper sanitization of the equipment. These great adventures are guaranteed fun for your child. Drop your kids off for some off the charts fun with a new, exciting outing each month. Pick up and drop off locations to be determined. Jr. Leader Program (13-16 years)

Want to gain more experience with working with children and youth? Have a passion for helping others? Need volunteer hours for school? This program is for you! Join us for our Pro D Day Camps in a leadership role. You will learn what it takes to be a PSP Recreation Leader, gaining experience in leading a group through games and activities, learning policies and procedures and of course having fun doing it all. Location: Drop off at CPAC Date: Camps as Posted in Camps Section Time: 9:00am-4:00pm Cost: $ 25.00 per Pro D Day *Cost covers our-trips, staff shirt, swimming each week and additional resources Please contact Sr. Recreation Leader Katie Fast if interested in this program.
