CHUMBAWAMBA Remember that catchy classic I Get Knocked Down that got everyone (yes, you!) singing along? Well Chumbawamba are back, and taking to the stage once more to celebrate the release of their new album ABCDEFG. The band’s experimented with more acoustic sounds, a little different from the old electric days, and have had a great response from followers. They’ll be armed with acoustic guitars, trumpets, accordions and five-part harmonies and they’ve even got folk audiences loving it. There’ll be a concert by the London Mozart Players at the South Holland Centre in Spalding to launch the area’s first ever Food Festival on Friday July 23. A whole host of food events take place over several dates thereafter including an international food tasting at Spalding Library and a Real Ales And Wine Trail. THINK FLOYD Think Floyd are renowned for their stunning celebration of the music of Pink Floyd and they manage to recreate the image, atmosphere and brilliant rock music of the original band. This number one tribute band’s been touring for 15 years and has built up a great reputation. They’ll be performing the whole range of classic Pink Floyd tracks, such as Barrett, The Wall, Wish You Were Here, The Division Bell and will feature a complete performance of the brilliant album Dark Side Of The Moon. MOZART PLAYERS LAUNCH FOOD FEST

CANDYLAND A gothic burlesque fairytale is set to transport audiences beyond any other experience in this sexy show. Candyland is a naughty yet fun show, which is full of dance, songs and hints of cabaret. Sinister magician Monsieur Yves ownes Candyland, and is assisted by the charismatic master of ceremonies Antoine. The audience will be captivated by the intoxicating dancers and beauty of the mute ballerina Lily. STARS FALLING @ THE FESTIVAL A new original British musical is taking to the stage at The Key Theatre as part of this year’s Festival. Stars Falling is an emotional tale of a father and son who have no knowledge of each other’s existence. They both share the same passion for music, which leads them to the same space at the same time. This highly original production is full of great songs that bring to life this captivating story and the dramatic characters it involves. The show features a cast of talented local professional and amateur performers, all working under the watchful eye of artistic director Michael Cross, with musical direction from Steve Hession. DANZFUSION

JUST DANCE Dance has never caught the nation’s attention as much as it does now, and with shows like Got To Dance, Britain’s Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance, there couldn’t be a better show coming to town. Just Dance is performed by the TGS team, and they’re returning with another cracking show, capturing all types of different style and moves which will whisk you away to the West End and Broadway. AS YOU LIKE IT @ THE FESTIVAL Shakespeare’s most popular comedy is coming to the Peterborough Festival from July 6 – 10. The Peterborough Mask Theatre will be presenting As You Like It in Central Park every evening at 7.30pm. The performance contains some of Shakespeare’s finest writing. Rosalind and other exiles find refuge in the Forest of Arden, and along the way meet up with various quirky characters. As relationships unfold, all is unravelled into an exciting conclusion – and we all love a happy ending! Danzfusion are returning to The Key Theatre this summer for their third annual show Lights, Camera, Action. THE SEARCHERS Stamford Corn Exchange is the venue to catch The Searchers, who’ll be bringing back all those fond memories of the swinging 60s! They tour the globe as much today as they did throughout their fantastic career, and have a special treat for the UK tour which will appeal to every age group. They’ll be performing all the classic hits such as Sweets For My Sweet, Needles And Pins, Don’t Throw Your Love Away and many of their original album recordings.
