MINEVENTION HEADS FOR THE BORO Calling all fans of Minecraft – a fantastic event is heading to the Peterborough Arena on Saturday September 12!
BEER WE GO! Not long now until the biggest bar in the Boro will be lining up the brews! The 38th annual Peterborough Beer Festival will be setting up its huge marquees on the Embankment packed with one of the largest selections of real ales in the country and the best atmosphere ever at the city’s biggest social! Catch up with mates old and new from Tuesday August 25 – Saturday August 29.
MineVention is a convention for Minecraft game lovers, aimed at families. Launched in Ireland, they’ve held five sell-out conventions and are now bringing the event to the UK and our city! So for all you Minecraft fans you’ll get the chance to have ‘Meet and Greet’ sessions with famous Minecraft players whose videos are viewed by hundreds of thousands of people via YouTube. You’ll be able to put your questions to your YouTube heroes in a Question and Answer session, grab an autograph and have your picture taken. Of course there’ll be gaming action
Along with over 420 different cask beers from over 170 brewers, a huge range of foreign bottled beers, and UK produced wine, cider and perries there’s a great brew of live tunes too – just head over to our Live Music pages where Keith Dalton gives you the line up.
The final hundred yards of this year’s Starlight Hike is set to provide a beautiful display of memories thanks to hundreds of decorated candle bags.
There’ll be food stalls, games, the lunchtime quiz and the popular ‘Singles’ bar is back – the bar where only one cask of a particular brew is available. Bottled beer, cider and wine each have their own separate bar.
