WHAT'S HAPPENING IN & AROUND TOWN Good news for music lovers all round - Esperance Tide has teamed up with KyzaPresents, Tradewinds Esperance and the Cannery Arts Centre for Sweet Tuna: an epic night of sweet tunes, beers, and good vibrations. Keep your calendar clear for Friday 25th of August from 7pm at the Cannery on Norseman Road. Artist’s include Ruby May, Cal, Rachel Vibart and A Simple Array. Don’t miss out on tickets - $35 + booking fee and can be purchased from www.esperancetide.com. Nominations for the Youth Advisory Council have been extended with nominations will now closing on Monday 31 July. If you are between 12-25 years of age and would like to help make our community the best it can possibly be for our youth, you can nominate through the Shire of Esperance website. A Community Tree Planting Day is being held at Lake Monjingup on 30 July from 9.30am as part of National Tree Day sponsored by Esperance Toyota. Lake Monjingup was affected by a bushfire in January 2015 and the area is recovering well but more seedlings are needed to help protect the wetland. Gloves, shovels and drinking water provided. Yet another great comedy show is in town - the hilarious ‘Over The Fence Comedy Film Festival’ which is on at the Esperance Civic Centre this Sunday. Look for tickets (only $15) at the Shire of Esperance website or through the Visitor Centre at our local Museum Village. A fundraiser to support Andrew Fuller’s ‘Resiliency for Youth’ Esperance workshops is being held on Saturday 12th August at Bonapartes.
