WHAT'S HAPPENING IN & AROUND TOWN
FORTNIGHTLY
As I am finishing off this issue of the Tide, it’s past 7pm and it’s still 29 degrees outside. The hit of warm breeze in the evening is super satisfying after a huge/busy couple of weeks that is the new year season. This weekend is looking great on the weather front, which is perfect if you’re heading to the Museum Village Markets on Sunday. Rasgueado Duo will be playing some live music, so grab a s’juice and a spring roll and enjoy the vibrant market vibes. I am quite excited for the launch of Brodeine & Deine, a local designer’s new clothing line, held at an event on Friday the 20th and will also be showcasing some of Jaimen Hudson’s prints, both of which will be for sale on the night. Don’t forget your wallet. Go to page 8 for more details.
Photography credit: Joshua Van Staden @jv.media Fringe World Festival is returning to Esperance with a Circus Spectacular show on Australia Day (26th of January) at the Civic Centre. One solid hour of entertainment - this is one Summer show you do not want to miss.
Woody Island Eco Tours are re-opening this week so book your tickets now for stunning tours of Woody Island. Also, a quick reminder that Tumor Times: A Visual Novel exhibition is still open at the Cannery Arts Centre and will be finishing on the 16th. Happy new year everyone, enjoy the late sunsets and keep smiling, even if you are one of the many back at work after a solid two weeks of white sands and local brews. If you get a spare moment today make sure to keep a look out for Sammy the Seal hiding somewhere in this issue.
