About us

We are the students of the Conversation Workshop D.

We are the ones who have shared almost 10 years studying English. We are those who sang to happiness in the La Plata's Woods.

We are the ones who fell in love with a new teacher.

We are the ones who put ourselves in the shoes of the sultan, the pasha and the maidens of the Ottoman Empire.

We are the ones who made a recipe book and distributed our recipes among those attending the end of the year party at school.

We are the ones who celebrated our birthdays by zoom during the pandemic.

But above all, we are a group of people with a common objective: to learn a language with respect for individuality and cultural diversity that is committed to happiness in each meeting. And what did the school do? It gave us the possibility that this could happen.

One of the most important celebrations for a community is the anniversary of an educational institution. We should be happy that this is happening since educational institutions collaborate in the training of people from different perspectives: pedagogical, social…

In these 30 years, many generations of children, youth, adults and seniors have passed. We are proud to be part of the history of this institution. We hope that this continues to happen and with all our hearts we say to you dear school "Happy birthday".

Our experiences at the school

Soul

I'm a teacher so talking about the anniversary of a school touches me closely and above all, it touches my soul. I spent almost forty years of my life in front of a class. But now and for almost nine years my role is that of a student.

What can I say about my role as a student? I have to say that I thank the "Escuela de Lenguas" and all the teachers I have had for giving me the opportunity to share pleasant moments of learning, exchange, solidarity, understanding and fun with a wonderful group.

Friendship

This school has been in my life for many years. I have been in it since 2008. I got to know it when I started with Italian Literature. Then, nine years ago, I started with the English conversation workshops. It is an interesting proposal to learn English but at the same time share wonderful moments with the group that we have formed.

We used to do performances at the end of every year, these moments were unforgettable because we had fun doing it! Nowadays, in addition to being a group that learns English, we are friends and we are always looking for the opportunity to meet and have fun!

Family

I feel very happy with this group.

They are very friendly. When I started at the school, I didn’t think I would find these partners. We are like a family.

Challenge

Ten years ago I came to the school to enroll in an English course. An administration person recommended me to do it in the courses for senior students. I accepted and it was a very good idea.

Sharing with people of my age the adventure of learing a new language was quite a challenge. At this age, combining learning with the warm company is something priceless. I hope we all continue this way.

THOUGHT

MY EXPERIENCE AT ESCUELA DE LENGUAS WAS EXCELLENT. IN ADDITION TO LEARNING ENGLISH (THAT IS MY MAIN GOAL), I FOUND A PLACE THAT GAVE ME A GROUP OF CLASSMATES WITH GREAT HUMAN WARMTH AND EXCELLENT TEACHERS THAT MAKE ME ENJOY AND HAVE A LOT OF FUN SHARING TIME WEEKLY.

GOOD VIBES

When I started in the fifth level of Seniors workshop, I met a warm and happy human group with good vibes. The teachers gave dynamic and interesting classes. All this was useful for me. I think that the key was to meet and study with people with a similar age and different life stories.

PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY

In 2015, when I started in the English School, it was a very difficult year for me, but my partners welcomed me kindly. The following year, I was a bit better, and we began a very nice friendship. As I said, they were my psychological therapy. They helped me a lot (without knowing my problems), and now we get together, we have fun, we laugh a lot, we meet for dinner, and I look forward to our classes on Friday. At least this is what happened to me.

We are all different, we think differently, and have different activities, but we complement each other very well. We love each other.

Grateful

I have been coming to school for 10 years in the Conversation Workshop. In this place I didn’t just find an ideal place to learn English but also a group of friends

The Escuela de Lenguas was important for me in the Pandemic because during those two years I could learn English and I could see, speak, laugh and celebrate birthdays with my classmates and teacher.

Thank you
