GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE Chris Major

Dear Valued Club Members, I hope this message finds you well October is my favorite month of the year It is my anniversary, my daughters' birthday, and finally, cooler weather It is also the time of year when our transient friends return home to Black Diamond

On behalf of the entire Black Diamond Management team, we look forward to a terrific October and delivering an elevated Club experience for you and your guests Please note the update on the club's four core pillars below and do not hesitate to reach out to me or any of our leaders if you have any questions or concerns

Thank you for your continued support! -Chris

Golf Grounds

Great News! The overseed on the Quarry front nine has exceeded our expectations and we will resume play there on Thursday, 10/5 We will require golf carts to remain in the roughs on the golf cart path side of each hole on Quarry front, #10-#12, #18 and Quarry back for an additional week as the rye grass matures There is still weed pressure that we will address with a herbicide application when the rye grass is mature enough Those applications will require additional days without golf cart traffic, and we will communicate with you when that time comes So, to re-cap on 10/5, we will offer Quarry 18 front (golf cart path side of rough only) to back and Highlands 9 Beginning on Monday, 10/9, the Highlands will be overseeded, and the full Quarry course will be in rotation until the end of the month We will begin allowing golf carts onto fairways starting on October 13th for Quarry and play on Highlands will resume on 11/1 or sooner if the Highlands seed comes in well.

We expect substantial completion of the irrigation and bunker project on the Ranch Friday, 10/6. It has been an exciting summer, and after witnessing phase 1 of our re-image, I know everyone is anxious to play. We have seeded all greens, and by the end of the day Thursday, October 5th, everything will be seeded. We expect to begin play on 11/1 as scheduled. Starting Monday, 10/2, I ask you to please refrain from driving your golf cart or walking on the Ranch golf cart paths. We will frequently run automated irrigation without observing pedestrian traffic. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding with overseeding It looks terrific, and if you see Michael or Ben, please thank them for their efforts over the past few weeks with overseeding and getting the Ranch project to the finish line

Golf Operations

We are finalizing compensation and travel plans now and hope to formally introduce you to our two new PGA professionals next week, as well as our new part-time Golf Shop retail attendant We look forward to elevating our service standards and overall golf experience for you and your guests as we move into our prime season To improve the playing experience, we will be adding new yardage plates on appropriate sprinkler heads, setting new hazard lines and stakes, as well as adding out-ofbounds lines and stakes Lastly, we look forward to the return of 9 & Dine to our competitions programming at 3pm on 10/27

F&B Operations

Thank you to those who continue to patronize the club's F&B Please expect to see several "tweaks" to all menus as we approach the prime season The Sunday brunch menu will be available from 8:00am until 1:00pm, and the Gameday menu will start at 12:00pm and run until 4:30pm Regarding NFL games that are not nationally televised but are available through our Direct TV Sunday Ticket package (2 TVs in the Member Lounge upstairs and 2 new TVs in the dining room), we will accept reservations for a particular game for parties of 6 or more We will list the 1pm and 4pm Sunday ticket games at 11am If you have a group of 6 or more and would like to make a reservation for a specific game, please call the Membership Concierge Lifestyle

They say the third time is a charm. You are cordially invited to a complementary “Coffee Talk” at 9:00am in the dining room with Tripp Davis this Monday, 10/2. We will offer coffee, juices, and assorted muffins. Reservations not required. There will be a one-month hiatus in October from our popular Farmer's Market as Tony and his family will be on vacation. However, we invite you to attend the Black Diamond car show on Saturday, 10/21, which promises to be a magnificent event. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, 11/18, as we will resume the Farmer's Market with new friends in the morning and a surprise activity in the afternoon that you will not want to miss. Additionally, we are proud to announce that we will be auctioning off a foursome with Martin Courtis as your group's forecaddie, giving you the opportunity to be the first to play the Ranch All proceeds will go to the Black Diamond Foundation We will send out detailed information on this in the coming days

GOLFCOURSEUPDATE

AGRONOMY UPDATE

Hello Black Diamond Members,

It is a very exciting time to be at Black Diamond Ranch and it is a pleasure for me to be a part of the projects and overall course improvements happening at this wonderful property. The Black Diamond Agronomy Team continues to grow as we approach the upcoming golf season. There are currently 45 total team members, and we are recruiting to fill an additional 7-8 positions. If you know of anyone looking for full-time or part-time work, please send them our way!

We are rapidly approaching the completion of the Ranch course renovation projects for 2023 This first phase of projects included the installation of a new irrigation system and the bunker construction project The new irrigation system installation is 95% complete and the new pump station is scheduled to be installed in November The bunker construction project will be wrapping up the last few bunkers during the first week of October The next phase begins in 2024 and will include new greens construction, new tee construction, and the regressing of all playing surfaces on the Ranch

The Black Diamond Agronomy Team completed overseeding the greens on the Ranch course and we are currently working to overseed the rest of the golf course. Keep in mind that we will not be overseeding any of the new sod areas. All seeding is scheduled to be complete by the end of the first week of October. It is extremely important that there are no golf carts on the Ranch Course during the month of October. The new overseed will need time to establish and cart damage in the wet conditions will only make the Agronomy Teams job more difficult. We look forward to sharing the results soon!

Thank you for being a Member,
