ERIK PEREYRA

About:
I am an architectural designer with a Bachelor of Architecture from Alfred State College, driven by a passion for thoughtful design and technical precision. My approach balances creativity with a strong understanding of building codes and constructability to deliver spaces that are both beautiful and functional.
My experience includes working on high-end residential projects, adaptive reuse, and whole-house renovations, where I have contributed at every stage — from documenting existing conditions and drafting detailed construction documents to creating photorealistic renderings and 3D models that clearly communicate design intent. I enjoy exploring how materials, light, and spatial flow come together to shape environments that meet clients’ needs and enhance daily living.
I am actively pursuing architectural licensure, committed to continual growth in my craft and to delivering design solutions that respond thoughtfully to context, sustainability, and the people who use them. With each project, my goal is to translate ideas into built spaces that inspire, perform, and endure.

01 The Haze
Designed By: Jason Lichwick, RA
Year: 2025
Role: For this project, I was responsible for producing the complete set of construction documents and handled all aspects of the architectural visualizations. My work supported the design team’s vision and effectively communicated the final concept to both clients and stakeholders.
Located in the Town of Newburgh, NY, this dispensary is an adaptive reuse project that transforms an existing building into a contemporary retail destination with a modern industrial aesthetic. The design revitalizes the structure while preserving its original character, supporting both sustainability and the growth of the local community.
Inside, the dispensary showcases a sophisticated palette defined by polished concrete floors that lend durability and an understated industrial edge. Black wood slat walls add warmth, texture, and rhythm to the interior, while porcelain finishes provide a sleek, refined contrast that elevates the retail experience. Thoughtfully integrated lighting and a clean, open layout create a welcoming and secure environment for customers, reflecting the brand’s commitment to quality and transparency.

02 Edwards Porch
Designed By: Jason Lichwick, RA
Year: 2025
Role: I was responsible for modeling the proposed porch in AutoCad and assisting in the production of construction documents to support the permitting and construction process
This project involved the design of a new 6’ x 24’ front porch addition to a residence in Poughkeepsie, NY. The primary design feature is a barrel-vaulted roof that adds architectural interest and elegance while providing functional shelter at the main entry. The addition enhances the home’s curb appeal and creates a welcoming transition from exterior to interior.
The design balances traditional proportions with a subtle architectural flourish through the curved roof form, reinforcing the character of the existing home while introducing a distinctive new element.

03 Riley Road
Designed By: Jason Lichwick, RA
Year: 2025
Role: For this project, I was responsible for documenting the existing conditions and developing the complete construction documents necessary to secure a building permit from the Town of New Windsor. My work ensured that the design addressed the homeowners’ vision and complied with all applicable codes and requirements.
Located in New Windsor, NY, this whole-house renovation reimagines an existing residence to better suit modern living while improving its overall functionality and flow. A key feature of the design is the expansion of the kitchen into the existing porch area, creating a larger, more open cooking and gathering space at the heart of the home. On the main floor, a new master bedroom and bathroom were added to provide greater comfort and privacy for the homeowners. Upstairs, the existing bedrooms were retained, while the bathroom was redesigned to deliver an updated, more functional layout. As part of the exterior improvements, a new deck was designed to replace the existing non-compliant ramp leading to the entrance, enhancing both code compliance and the home’s curb appeal.

04 Cove Road
Designed By: Matthew Bialecki, AIA
Year: 2024
Role: In this project, I was responsible for modeling and assisting in the drafting of the architect’s design options, as well as creating all visualizations of the proposed residence to communicate the design intent effectively to the client and project team.
This high-end residence is a 6,000 square foot modern home designed to embody the architect’s guiding principles of geology, ecology, and transparency. Thoughtfully positioned on its site, the home opens generously to its surroundings through expansive glass walls, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living. At its core, a spacious open floor plan connects the main living, dining, and kitchen areas, flowing effortlessly into a dedicated media and family room that serves as a gathering hub for relaxation and entertainment. The program includes two well-appointed bedrooms and a luxurious primary suite complete with a spa-like bathroom and direct access to the infinity pool, which visually merges with the horizon to the south. A signature feature of the residence is its elevated garden terrace on the upper level, strategically placed on the south side of the house to capture abundant sunlight and provide a tranquil, verdant retreat.

05 Field Station
Designed By: Matthew Bialecki
Year: 2023
Role: I measured and modeled the existing home in Revit, developed 3D visualizations of the proposed addition, and produced construction documents and architectural details under the supervision of the architect.
The Field Station project is a carefully considered addition to a private residence located in New Paltz, NY, within a scenic rural setting. The renovation was designed to expand the home’s livable space while maintaining its connection to the surrounding landscape. The first phase included the addition of a new bedroom, integrated seamlessly into the existing structure. A future second-phase design introduces a dramatic, cylindrical silo addition that will connect to the main house and function as both a secondary living area and an observatory on the top floor—offering panoramic views and a unique architectural gesture.
The project required sensitivity to the original home’s proportions, materials, and orientation, while also exploring new forms and interior experiences. The additions were designed to be both functional and expressive, contributing to the home’s narrative over time. The silo, in particular, introduces a sculptural and vertical contrast to the otherwise horizontal profile of the existing house.
