Why bakemono?

HELLO! I am Erika Fernรกndez, this is a little presentation about me and my work. As is the case with all identities, care must be taken with my appearence and comunicate the essence of my brand or personal project. This is a brochure to how I should look, feel and sound as a person not only brand, clear and correct as possible. All the elements of this brochure have been carefully chosen, devoting it the time it deserves. And this is how this corporate identity brochure has born.

This is my brand project: bakemono. I am a rigger and I am expanding my knowledge in the graphic design, 3d and video field. My goal is to use all this knowledge in the cinema, video games and advertising industry.

I am really passionate about traveling, discovering new places and people and work in different kind of environments. I really think that traveling helps us grow, increase our creativity and be better people.

Why Bakemono? Bakemono (japanese terminology) means transformation or changing things, from common to mystiries things. The decision to change my course and devote myself to this world. This makes a job is not only work


LOGO INTRODUCTION My logo is the key building my identity, the primary visual element that identifies me.The asignature is a combination of one mountain symbol (Fuji), for my passion of travel and my artist name, bakemono. Bakemono means changing things.

The logotype has been carefully choosen for its modern and yet refined, highly legible style.The logo is presented throught the use of color as well as shape and form. Three Corporate color are white, greenish blue and gray.

THE LOGOTYPE

Corporate logo.

Logo symbol. The montain logo symbol. Consist in two triangles, the big is the mountain and the small represents snow.

Logo title in japanese. It means bakemono but in japanese language, i am study japanese too and i would like to share it.

LOGO CONSTRUCTION It is important to keep corporate marks clear of any other graphic element.To regulate this, an exclusion zone has been established around the corporate brand. This zone indicates the closest any other element can

be positioned in relasion to the brand of the symboll itself and my name, they have a fixed relationship that should never be changed in any way.

Corporate typography

THE CORPORATE FONTS Typography plays an important in communicating an overall tone and quality. Careful use of typography reinforces our personality and ensures clarity and harmony in my all design, in bakemono. I have selected two: • Bebas Neue which helps injected energy, force, vitality into bakemono brand. • Roboto (all families) which helps to express happiness, harmony, perfection into my personal brand.

TEXT HIERARCHY Typogratphy hierarchy is another visual form. Creates contrast between elements. Presents lettering so that the most important words are displayed with the most impact so users can scan text for key informacion. Inspiration Phrases

Bebas Neue Bebas Neue is a sans serif font family based on the original Bebas Neue free font by Ryoichi Tsunekawa. It has grown in popularity and become something like the “Helvetica of the free fonts”. Now the family has four new members – Thin, Light, Book, and Regular

ROBOTO Roboto has a dual nature. It has a mechanical skeleton and the forms are largely geometric. At the same time, the font features friendly and open curves. While some grotesks distort their letterforms to force a rigid rhythm, Roboto doesn’t compromise, allowing letters to be settle in to their natural width. This makes for a more natural reading rhythm more commonly found in humanist and serif types. This is the normal family, which can be used alongside the Roboto Condensed family and the Roboto Slab family.
