Eric Chang, born in Hsinchu in 1996 with a twin brother, is a Designer and Creator. He will receive his BA in Graphic Design from Taiwan’s avant-garde Media+Visual Communication Department, Chang Gung University.

Initially employed as an Intern, Eric has been working part-time for Logitech since 2016 and during this time has provided multiple design solutions for Logi including the Hsinchu site 30th Anniversary key vision and logo which have subsequently been applied globally.

In 2016, he organized, hosted and participated in the Design camp YESTERDAY ONCE MORE for high school students.

Eric is also a poet. He has written poems since Junior High School and entered the qualifying rounds in several literary awards.

In 2014, he was awarded Honorable Mention in Chang Gung Literary Awards.

Eric has passion for his culture and is a two-time winner in the HAKKA phonetic alphabets and HAKKA characters of National Language Contest and has also participated the Cross-strait cultural exchange delegation. In 2017, he attended a Design Hackthon for Hsinchu city, held by TDIS NCTU.It was about how to turn the old area of the city into a new value and his team presented a topic”我行我速”.Finally they ranked fourth.

He also applied as a volunteer in the TAIPEI 2017 29th SUMMER UNIVERSIADE .

POS Rebrand SCOTCH brand with the issue of anti-war by using collage to convey the message. Tapes also express the meanings of vivid colours and fence-mending; these factors construct this POS project.

Augmented Reality

These two projects are series about eggs.

Using eggs as elements to create a new visual language.

By AR technique, we can scan the patterns on eggs and the clips will appear on specific patterns. It not only let people feel more vivid about the graphic, but also tell people the background of these eggs.

POSTCARD In order to promote Taiwan features, I choose 5 elements (Beef noodles/Orchid/Formosan Clouded leopard/ National Palace museum/Oolong tea) and use silkscreen printing on the beer filter paper. There are also Chinese characters embossing on the top of the postcard which can pop out the texture of the paper. We can only see four colors in postcards, purple, yellow, dark green and black; these colours are matched with each other and make a clean visualizaion on postcards.

Everyone is a passenger to the world. From day to day, we keep chasing everything or want to seize something. We always lead a unstoppable live, never stop for a while to see what’s happened beside you.

This project connected with digital device that the viewers could choose when to stop the film by clicking a bottom. You can decide the moment that you want to catch.

留住記憶的方式有很多種，這次用影像抓住時光洪流中的片刻 ，將阿公的生活與工作實實在在刻畫出來。拍攝的同時，體會 到照片中那溫暖是自然而然，一種生命散發出的溫度，才是最 寶貴的。快門只存在於一瞬，畫面卻留下成為永恆，而捕捉下 這一刻的我，很幸福。

Anniversary VI design

2016 is the 30th anniversary for Logitech Hsinchu. It’s a new start for them. This VI design shows the energy and brand new style. Circle is the important shape for Logitech. From mice to keyboards, every product develops from circle. Hence, I design circle to be the key of the visual. In color part, I choose four colours from brand guideline to be the standard colors. They not only fit to eachother, but also pop out the energetic atmosphere.

Logi Club Festival

L Logi Club Festival is a project from Logitech. In order to put more than twenty clubs into the visual, I choose some of them to present on the key vision. Using simple lines and shapes to create a neat graphic. In colour part, I design blue background to make a contrast of the hot weather outside. Yellow on the blue shows young atmosphere and pop out the energy of the festival.

離開家鄉， 沒有眷戀， 也沒有依賴， 可以說是義無反顧， 想要忘卻稻香伴著鳥鳴那樣寧靜。

我的心雋永著， 卻還是沒能留下甚麼。

三十年， 足以培育個而立完人。 都市生活卻是如此， 魔幻寫實戳破當年那份雋永 幾載歲月染紅了雙眼， 騙不了市儈充斥， 忍不住拋下一切所有， 當作只有一天的回憶， 過了三十年。

回家了， 為了甚麼？ 家鄉呢？

山巒疊翠不再， 壟罩回憶的黑， 渲染得淋漓盡致。 這被縮時的光景， 加速了眼淚落下的速度， 也喚不回從前。

五隻很團結的海鰻在辦公室裡都很勤 奮工作，也會互相幫忙，讓上班生活 也充滿動力，為辦公室裡增添不少歡 樂與活潑的氛圍。 以幽默逗趣的方式呈現上班生活，在 辦公室裡工作不再拘謹，反而更加歡 樂，讓使用者使用貼圖的同時也會心 一笑。
