To successfully complete the Erb Fellows program, you must meet the curricular, co-curricular and community programming requirements described below within two academic years or prior to graduating, whichever comes first. Requests for extension - i.e., additional time to complete the program requirements - will only be considered under extenuating circumstances.

Erb Fellows Requirements at a Glance

Erb Fellows Orientation: Participate in Erb Fellows Orientation Curricular Learning: Complete 12-credits of approved coursework Co-curricular Learning: Participate in a minimum of two (2) co-curricular activities if the fall and winter terms during your Erb Fellowship; Fellows are encouraged to participate in as many co-curricular offerings as possible. Community Engagement: Demonstrate active participation and contributions to the Erb Community, including community dinners, gatherings and celebrations.

A

s an Erb Fellow, you must take at least 12 credits worth of approved courses prior to completing your term as an Erb Fellow. You may choose any of the approved options that fit your schedule and personal interests. A complete list of approved courses is available here.

Course Menu

Course Substitutions

The Erb Fellows course “menu� includes 300-level and 400-level courses from LS&A, Ross and other colleges and schools. This curated course listing includes classes that address the intersection of business and sustainability. In the interest of providing a number of course offerings that align with your content and scheduling needs, Erb staff and faculty will aim to regularly update and add to the list of course offerings. The curricular course menu will be reviewed semi-annually, in the spring and early fall, well in advance of the U-M course registration windows. We encourage you to choose courses from outside of your major discipline (i.e., PitE students are encouraged to draw from Ross course offerings, and vice-versa) to round out their classroom learning.

You may request approval of alternate 300 and 400 level (only) courses as substitutes for anything on Erb Fellows approved course list. Relevant senior capstone projects will also be considered. We love to learn about new classes at the University of Michigan that include business sustainability related content! If you would like us to consider allowing a course that you have taken to count towards your Erb Fellows curricular requirement, please submit a course substitution request.

Co-Curricular Learning

E

rb Fellows co-curricular programming is designed to serve as a bridge between business and sustainability and to fill gaps not already filled by classroom learning. Erb co-curriculars will help prepare you to lead in the business sustainability space. When complemented with Erb Fellows community and curricular programming, you will have the comprehensive knowledge, skills and network you need to advance social, economic and environmental sustainability through business. Our co-curricular programming includes a variety of learning and instructional program activities that take place outside of the classroom. We invite you to participate in as many co-curricular offerings as possible. You must participate in a minimum of two (2) co-curricular activities in the fall and winter academic terms of your Erb Fellowship (Erb Fellows co-curricular events in the spring and summer terms may be used to “count� toward the fall and/or winter term requirements).

Objectives The objectives of Erb Fellows co-curricular programming are: Career preparation: Including networking, career visioning, exposure and exploring pathways, professional development Business sustainability learning: Augmenting classroom learning with opportunities to learn more about critical business sustainability concepts, topics and issues. DEI & sustainability education: Increasing your understanding of DEI topics, including racial justice, as it relates to both business and sustainability.

The Erb Institute has made a commitment to redouble our efforts to contribute to the advancement of racial justice. As part of this commitment, we will dedicate efforts to training and empowering our students to be agents of change for racial justice.

Erb Fellows Program Orientation The Erb Institute will host an annual Erb Fellows Orientation every fall. All Erb Fellows must attend Erb Fellows Orientation in the fall of their first year as a Fellow. nce you have completed the Fellow’s program requirements - including orientation, 12-credit course requirements, and co-curricular and community requirements - you may submit an “Erb Fellows Program Completion Review” request. You must request this review and approval at least 60 days prior to completing your final term as an Erb Fellow. The Erb Institute team will begin accepting Program Completion Review requests beginning in January, 2021. Instructions on how to submit a request will be provided to all Erb Fellows at that time.

Following your completion of program requirements, you will be awarded a certificate recognizing your completion of the Erb Fellowship program at our End-of-Year Celebration.

You are responsible for ensuring that you are on track to complete the Fellows program requirements prior to your graduation or end of your second year of your Fellowship, whichever comes first. However, Erb staff are here to support you in a number of ways! Additionally, you are encouraged to utilize the peer advisor program to monitor individual progress throughout the Fellows program (see below for more information). Erb Fellows that do not satisfy the orientation, curricular, cocurricular and community requirements by the end of their twoyear term as a Fellow or prior to graduation, whichever comes first, will not receive a certificate of completion.

A member of the Erb Student Affairs team will review your progress towards completing the Fellow’s program requirements with you - including curricular work, co-curricular participation, and community engagement - to ensure you are on track.

As the incoming president of Students for Clean Energy, a student organization focusing on policy and research based approaches to renewable energy initiatives, Courtney showcases her passion for sustainability daily. She is also a member of UM Sustainable Food Program, Friends of the Campus Farm, Elementary Engineering Partnerships, and the Sustainability Committee through the Engineering Student Government. Majoring in Environmental Engineering and minoring in PitE, Courtney hopes to combine her academic knowledge with her hands-on experience to work with clean energy or sustainable agriculture. Fun fact: if Courtney could only eat one food for the rest of her life, she would eat burritos!

Cole is interested in turning his passion for the outdoors into a useful tool to assist businesses in sustainable growth. Paired with a business major, Cole is minoring in sustainability, and focusing on how business can impact energy systems worldwide. A member of Net Impact, an organization focusing on the application of positive business, Cole has sought out ways to make a direct local impact through team projects. In his free time, Cole is an avid fisherman and hiker.

Anastasia is interested in increasing sustainability initiatives in the apparel industry through policy reform. She is also passionate about finding solutions to mitigate climate change impacts that disproportionately affect underserved communities. On campus, she is involved in Net Impact, Phi Gamma Nu, and the Entrepreneurs Leadership Program. In the future she hopes to start her own sustainability-focused business and attend law school.

Sarah is currently double majoring in Program in the Environment and Economics. She is passionate about finding ways to bridge these two field through sustainable business leadership. Through PitE, Sarah is pursing a concentration in development and is interested in how real estate developers can economically employ sustainable solutions to environmental issues. Sarah is also involved with Students for Clean Energy on campus and hopes to further develop her understanding our changing energy landscapes.

Aaron is interested in creating communities (whole cities?) that are self-resilient with respect to energy, food, and water. He is majoring in Chemistry and Program in the Environment and feels strongly that the sustainable business elements of the Erb Fellowship will complete his comprehensive studies of energy and sustainability. On campus, he is involved with Students for Clean Energy, the Student Sustainability Coalition, and the Campus Farm, and in his free time he likes to play Ultimate Frisbee or jazz piano. A fun fact about Aaron is he was on Sesame Street when he was five years old!

Devin is passionate about the intersection of finance and the clean energy transition. At the University of Michigan he is pursuing a BBA degree focused on Finance, with a minor in Economics. He is part of the Energy Club at Ross, learning about the existing energy grid, utilities, clean energy, and how it relates to project financing. Prior to the Erb Fellows, Devin has worked within investment banking focused on the healthcare industry. He also grew up in Gladwin, Michigan and enjoys spending time outdoors and backpacking.

C.Y. is passionate about using business to stimulate economic growth while upholding high-quality and efficiency through sustainable practices. He hopes to make a difference in the world and tackle climate change through business practices. At the University of Michigan, he is studying Business Administration while pursuing a Sustainability minor. Outside of the classroom, C.Y. is a student-athlete on the Men’s Varsity Soccer Team.

Emily is a senior in the Erb Undergraduate Fellows program from Saginaw, Michigan. She is studying Industrial and Operations Engineering with a Minor in Sustainability, and hopes to merge the two by working toward the development of sustainable supply chains. At the U-M, she is a member of BLUElab India Project, a team that works in rural Gujarat to develop low-smoke stoves for women living below the poverty line. Her interest in sustainable supply chains formed while interning at LLamasoft in Ann Arbor, where her team developed tools to facilitate sustainability optimization and planning across supply chain networks. Emily’s favorite place is her family cabin in western Michigan, where she enjoys running, water sports, and spending time outdoors.

Ari is a dedicated advocate for environmental sustainability and justice through the use of responsible business practices. At the University of Michigan, he is working toward a double major in Program in the Environment as well as Earth and Environmental Sciences. He is particularly interested in energy production and consumption. Outside of the University, Ari works at the intersection of business and environmental sustainability with the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council.

Ryan is passionate about empowering local communities by leveraging business for positive social and environmental change. Ryan is pursuing a BBA from the Ross School of Business with a focus in Marketing and Strategy and a Minor in Political Science. He is specifically interested in social change marketing and the messaging of sustainability initiatives to the broader public as well as the relationship between public and private entities in community development. At Ross, Ryan serves as the BBA Lead and Vice President of the Detroit Impact Conference for the Detroit Revitalization and Business initiative, the Vice President of External Relations for the BBA Marketing Club, and is a member of Net Impact.

Maggie was born and raised here in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is excited to study the intersection of business and sustainability in order to learn how to implement positive changes in her community and future workplace. She is Majoring in business at the University of Michigan and is interested in a career in the field of marketing.

Riley is a Senior at the University of Michigan in the Program in the Environment with a specialization in law and policy. His life-long love for animals and nature evolved into a passion for environmentalism in high school, where he founded his school’s first environmental club. He was a member of the Michigan Community Scholars Program, a volunteer and activism based learning community, and is currently a columnist for the Michigan Daily, writing about environmental and social justice issues. He is originally from North Platte, Nebraska and his favorite animal is the tapir.

Gitika is passionate about understanding the impact of business on its various stakeholders in regards to sustainability and social impact. She believes that building a sustainable business perspective is crucial in making future business decisions that will drive positively impactful solutions. She is pursuing a BBA at the Ross School of Business and a minor in Economics. Gitika’s involvement on campus in clubs, such as Net Impact and Impact Investing Group, motivated her to learn more about the intersection of business and sustainability. This past summer, she worked for an impact investing ratings firm to help Community Development Financial Institutions build their impact measurement practices.

Paige is driven to make a positive impact in the social and environmental world by using the power of business. She studies environmental science and business sustainability at the University of Michigan with special interests in energy and sustainability economics. Currently, Paige is involved in MECC Consulting Group where she is gaining consulting experience to apply to her future career path. Paige has been accepted into the Teach For American 2021 corps and hopes to use this experience in her future career.

Braeden is in the Program in the Environment, focusing on sustainable business. He is particularly interested in the circular economy and sustainable entrepreneurship. He works currently with the University of Michigan Sustainable Food Program, and will be taking on the role of co-managing the new farm stand project.

John is a sophomore at the University of Michigan studying economics and the environment with interests in agriculture and energy. He is a research assistant studying how different farm management techniques affect bee populations on coffee farms in Mexico. John also had the opportunity to do field ecology research on freshwater ecosystems in upstate New York last summer. In his free time, he loves to play paintball and explore new parks and preserves.

Zoe is passionate about fostering organizational development to meet the changing atmosphere of political and economic spheres in the wake of climate change. At U-M, she is studying organizational development, human capital, and environmental strategy, focusing on meeting firms needs for adapting to new industry direction. She has worked on research relating to food insecurity in climate dependent regions of India and the effect of NGOs on environmental policy diffusion. Currently she is interning at an organizational consulting firm in client management. She spends her weekends competing for Michigan’s Water Ski Team and Ultimate Frisbee Team!

Max is a Class of 2021 Ross BBA pursuing a minor from the Ford School of Public Policy with interest in the intersection of Business and Psychology and how it can be used to drive environmental change. He grew up locally in Plymouth, Michigan, but has his roots in southern Germany where he spends the summers with his extended family. On campus, he works as a prospective student tour guide and is a member of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. Growing up, Max raced high-speed RC cars and maintained a large cactus collection.

Claire Haase is a junior pursuing a BBA through Ross School of Business with a minor in Sustainability. She is interested in the role that businesses play as responsible members of their communities and how they engage in locally relevant environmental and social issues. Claire is involved in Net Impact and the Michigan Impact Investing Symposium Organizing Committee, and spent her freshman year summer as a Sustainability Intern with UM Student Life & MDining. An International Studies (Political and Economic Development) major and Environment minor, Janie hopes to focus on sustainable property development. In her spare time, she works with FATE to mentor youth from the Detroit area.

Amira is passionate about using her resources to aid businesses in becoming socially and environmentally responsible. Danielle is passionate about using positive business to create change in the world. At the University of Michigan, she is studying to obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Food and the Environment. She is interested in learning about global food systems and how these are contributing to and being impacted by climate change. Danielle is on the Executive Board of the undergraduate club, Michigan Business Women. She hopes to help businesses become successful financially, socially, and environmentally. Danielle is also passionate about all things coffee!

My name is Alex Hrinya, and I am a current junior at Michigan, studying business. As someone who has worked for companies that require a great amount of packaging to provide their goods and services, I am passionate about using business as a tool to make a more sustainable society. Specifically, I want to focus on how we can reinvent our idea of packaging to make it more eco-friendly and less wasteful. My fun fact is I took Mandarin Chinese for 7 years, and while I do not study it at Michigan, I still can hold a decent conversation, even if my tones are nonexistent.

Taylor is passionate about using business to do good. She has worked with large-scale companies, entrepreneurs, and venture capital groups in search of solutions on investing towards a circular economy. Recent projects include: starting a sustainable food market sourcing local produce; implementing composting initiatives on campus; and quantifying social/environmental returns on impact investments. The past two summers, Taylor worked for Western Pulp Products, a green manufacturing firm based in Oregon, and Apollo Global Management in NYC. This summer, she will be working for EY-Parthenon as an M&A Consultant. She is pursuing a BBA along with minors in Spanish and Environmental Studies.

Kelsie is a Class of 2022 Undergraduate studying Environmental and Organizational Studies with a minor in Spanish. Kelsie is passionate about the intersection of sustainability and business, and is specifically interested in waste reduction, supply chain management, sustainable strategy, and promoting sustainability organizational culture. On campus, Kelsie is an athlete on the Women’s Ultimate Club Frisbee team, Project Manager within Propel Business Club, a Graham Sustainability Scholar, along with a Research Assistant to Professor Sara Soderstrom studying the importance of resources for past Environmental Defense Fund Fellows. Fun fact: Kelsie once had a bug randomly give birth on her leg.

My name is Shivani, and I’m a sophomore studying Industrial and Operations Engineering. I’m from Ann Arbor. I intend to incorporate the integration of sustainability and business into public policy or another field, potentially healthcare. I’m a consultant in MECC Consulting Group, and Finance Chair for the South Asian Awareness Network, a social justice group on campus that aims to begin dialogues about oppressive structures, with an emphasis on the South Asian community and identity. My fun fact is that I was born in Manhattan, and I want to move back there one day!

Katie is interested by the ability to use investing as a means for incentivizing companies to be more environmentally-sustainable and socially-just. She is focusing on Finance and Strategy at UM, and she looks specifically at how corporations can use environmental sustainability strategies to become more financially sustainable. Before joining Erb, Katie worked as a consultant for a UM engineering researcher studying the drinking water industry in Michigan. Much of her free time is spent either playing or watching soccer... she watched every single game of the 2019 Women’s World Cup.

Jackson is passionate about the intersection of environmental sustainability and business; focused on how companies can lessen their harmful affect on the environment while maintaining/ boosting profits. At the University of Michigan, Jackson is a Program in the Environment Major, with a specialization in Sustainable Business and Economics. He is also a Business Minor in the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Jackson has spent the past two summers working in the financial field, as an intern at UBS Financial Services and Forest Hills Financial Group. Jackson is very interested in startups, specifically those dedicated to environmental causes.

Olivia is a Program in the Environment major with a focus in urban planning, policy, and sustainability. She is passionate about incorporating systems thinking and sustainability into planning. She is a member of Propel Business Club and worked on the Hawai’i Youth Conservation Corps in Summer 2019, working across the state to protect and restore natural areas.

Alyssa is passionate about using business to solve pressing global issues. She is currently a student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Sustainability at the University of Michigan. Her main areas of interest include combining strategy with policy to contribute to sustainable development in cities. Allison is a rising senior who is passionate about the intersection of business and the environment. She is pursing her bachelors degree in economics and PitE, with a minor in environmental geology. She is very interested in implementing sustainable initiatives n businesses that are not only good for the environment, but also benefit the firm. After undergrad she wants to go to law school to study environmental and corporate law.

Katie is a rising senior at the Ross School of Business with an Environment minor. After a summer of field research in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park, she discovered a new passion for preserving the environment. She realized the power of sustainable business and continued exploring these values as YETI’s first Social Responsibility intern the following summer. Now wrapping up her experience at Michigan as an Erb Undergraduate Fellow, she is excited to apply the tools from her business education to positively impact the planet.

Sabrina is interested in the intersection of business and sustainability, specifically with a focus on Environment, Health, and Safety. She is currently pursuing a degree in Economics and the Environment. She has previously interned at a non-profit organization in Hong Kong that promotes sustainability in building design, construction, and operations, and this has driven her passion for working with corporations to create positive social and environmental change in workplace environments.

Caroline is a junior BBA from Seattle, WA with an emphasis in finance. She is passionate about incorporating everyday sustainability into her lifestyle and hopes to one day have a career that combines finance and social impact for sustainability. She is also a Planet Blue Ambassador.

Ryan is passionate about learning to use technical business skills for social and environmental impact. At the University of Michigan he is studying the intersection of business and social change through a Ross BBA and School of Social Work CASC minor. Ryan hopes to blend these specialized experiences as an Erb Fellow to help advance a greater focus on the impact of major public sector decisions on neglected social and environmental stakeholders. Ryan co-founded the positive business-oriented student org Propel Business Club and is also involved in Nexecon Consulting Group and professional fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. Ryan enjoys hiking, biking, playing soccer, and traveling to visit friends.

Michelle Lee is an undergraduate student from San Francisco, California. She is currently majoring in Program in the Environment and Organizational Studies, with an emphasis on sustainable operations and supply chain management. Michelle is serving as a peer facilitator for the Barger Leadership Institute and . Fun fact, Michelle is allergic to apples.

Ryan is pursing a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree with a focus on Finance and a minor in Environmental Science. Bella is passionate about combining business and sustainability to inhibit unethical and destructive practices from harming people and the earth, and to change the negative ways in which businesses interact with the planet. At U-M she is studying Communications and Sustainability and is interested in combining the two to create change in the business world and society as a whole. Bella transferred to Michigan her sophomore year from Marist College where she was studying fashion merchandising. She first became interested in sustainability through her observations of the fashion industry and the lack of sustainable practices utilized within it. She sees sustainability as an opportunity that every industry can benefit from and wants to be a part of changing industries for the better.

Hursh Motwani is a sophomore at the Ross School of Business, currently majoring in strategy and consulting. Hursh serves as the President of the Enactus and a Project Manager for the BOND Consulting Group. Hursh’s sustainability journey began very early on, volunteering in local community organizations that serve the bottom of the pyramid. Since then he has conducted and co-authored several research projects that focus on social and environmental aspects of sustainability. He is currently assisting and counseling small businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19. He is continuously trying to improve himself and always eager to give back to the community. Hursh loves to travel and has been to more than 20 countries. He is fluent in 5 languages and a connoisseur of fusion cuisine.

Kent is excited about the opportunity to leverage business to promote community and sustainability change. He is pursuing a BBA in Business Administration, a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and a minor in Community Action & Social Change. He is part of MEG Consulting, a student consulting organization focused on U-M, Uncover: A/PIA, a Humans of New York-style platform for A/PIA individuals to tell their own story, and Photonix, a glow sticking performance group. In his spare time, he enjoys tutoring chess.

Lindsey is passionate about helping businesses produce the best outcomes for their profitability, the communities they serve, and the environment. As an Organizational Studies major and an Erb Undergraduate Fellow, she studies how to inform creative strategies to make businesses more sustainable and socially impactful, specializing in safe and sustainable supply chains. On campus, she is a Director at TEDxUofM and a project manager on a PSE Consulting team.

Allegra is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Business Administration along with a Minor in Sustainability. She has been involved in several positive social change organizations at the University as apart the executive board, including Student Food Co., a non-profit organization focused on providing students with accessible locally sourced produce at a low cost. Her passion for sustainability started in 2013 when she presented at the Global Initiatives Network Conference in Costa Rica. At the conference, hearing speakers from across the globe discuss the severity of the environmental issues that play a role in our everyday lives inspired her to believe she needed to contribute towards making our world more sustainable.

Tom is passionate about driving positive business outcomes through sustainable decision-making using financial analysis that considers elements of the triple-bottom-line. He is working towards a BBA with minors in Economics and Sustainability. At the University of Michigan, he has worked with Michigan Dining to reduce waste and promote sustainable food selection. Tom has also interned with TE Connectivity, a manufacturing company with a focus on sustainability, in a finance role.

Annika’s passion for sustainability led her to the Erb Institute as she is a double major in Economics and Environmental Science (PitE). This past summer, she interned in NYC at Apollo Global Management in their Private Equity Group, and she will be working at PJT Partners in their Investment Banking Group this summer. On campus at U-M, she is involved with Nexecon Consulting Group, Michigan Interactive Investments, and Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, as well as pursuing an Honors Thesis within PitE. Annika is interested in combining her interest in sustainability with financial services and is excited to join Erb’s first undergraduate cohort!

Liv is thrilled to be starting her fellowship at Erb. She is interested in learning about the combination between technology, impact investing, and sustainable development. Liv is a BBA student focusing in finance. Over the summer, she worked in Hong Kong in private equity fundraising where she evaluated ESG investment opportunities.

Suibhne is passionate about creating real value in this world and being the best person he can be. At the university, he is a part of the 2022 BBA class at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and plans to do all things related to TBL strategy/sustainable business development. He would like to say he’s not a funny guy and still doesn’t understand that jokes over text never hit the mark.

Jelena is particularly passionate about the intersection of business and sustainable development, utilizing the triple bottom line framework to maximize growth through positive impact. Rhianna is passionate about making a positive social and environmental impact through business. She is studying business and sustainability. She was born and raised in Michigan and hopes to work in the Detroit area to create a sustainable future.

Jackson is passionate about using the wide capabilities of business to drive positive change in the environment, specifically the Great Lakes. At the University of Michigan, he is pursuing an Economics BA with a minor in Sustainability and Ross. He served as a member of Cohort VII in optiMize for his company, Oshki, which repurposes plastic waste from the Great Lakes and other US waterways into sustainable clothing. He now serves as a mentor in optiMize and startUM, helping students build socially conscious companies and non-profits of their own and is looking forward to bringing sustainability to the sectors that need it most throughout his career.

Joey is a rising senior from Wisconsin who looks forward to using sustainable business practices in his career as an engineer and business leader. As a mechanical engineering and business dual-degree student, he is exploring methods of sustainable engineering and manufacturing as they pertain to the medical device industry and their business implications. On campus, Joey is an active member of MECC Consulting Group and Phi Gamma Nu Professional Business Fraternity while also frequently attending Michigan football and basketball games. Outside of school, Joey has experiences as a mechanical and manufacturing engineering intern at DEKA Research & Development where he worked on medical devices pertaining to regenerative medicine, water purification, and microfluidics.

Ellie is passionate about working in business to make environmental changes that support both social justice and climate solutions. She will be a senior in fall 2020, and is currently majoring in Program in the Environmental, Earth and Environmental Science, and International Studies. Ellie is interested in studying climate and energy systems and their connection with social justice and development challenges. She interned at Hazon, a non-profit working on environmental education and sustainability in the Detroit-metro area, and she will be interning at DTE Energy in the renewable energy development department in summer 2020. In her free time, she enjoys doing anything that involves being outside, especially hiking and skiing.

Annalise is motivated to use business as a mechanism for environmental and social change on a global scale. At the University of Michigan she is on track to receive a B.A. in International Studies and Environment, focusing on corporate social responsibility. Annalise recently traveled to Costa Rica to take part in a sustainable development program for students. Aside from her studies, she is a member of the Net Impact Undergraduate Chapter and enjoys spending time outdoors.

Sam studies Cognitive Science and Sustainability and is passionate about better understanding the intersection of climate change, social justice, sustainable systems and how the study of human cognition can be used to create actionable plans for individuals, organizations, and nations to promote environmental justice and build systems that are sustainable for peoples, places, and Earth as a whole. He serves as the President for the University of Michigan Rotaract Club and spends his time backpacking, reading, running, and using grant money from the Graham Sustainability Institute to research how mealworms can play a key role in the mitigation of the negative effects of plastic pollution by eating styrofoam.

Brian is intrigued in finding ways to incorporate sustainable and environmentally friendly business practices into corporations worldwide. At the University of Michigan, he is majoring in Program in the Environment (PitE) with a specialization in environmental law and policy. He plans to utilize his knowledge of environmental law in the sustainable business sector. Brian is part of the Michigan’s Men’s Ultimate Frisbee team, MagnUM, that placed 5th in the nation in 2019.

Grace is currently a rising BBA senior who aspires to work in impact investing or start a company with a sustainability focus. Areas of interest include climate change and education. Last summer, she interned as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley in NYC and will be returning this summer. On campus, she is known as a major foodie and loves meeting new people!

Arynne is passionate about sustainability and equity in the food system. At the University of Michigan she is pursuing a B.S. in biology and environmental sciences with a special interest in food waste. She is developing an Honors thesis on composting behavior in the residence halls, and hopes to help the University achieve their 2025 waste reduction goals. Beyond college, she wants to support the creation of a more equitable and efficient food system that provides food to those who need it while minimizing food waste. In her free time, she loves to take her dog for runs, practice yoga, experiment with new vegan recipes, and spend time with friends and family.

Prior to the Erb Institute, Sara has been heavily involved in Net Impact Undergrad, the Michigan Impact Investing Symposium, and Victors Value Investments. She wishes to combine her skill sets and passions to cultivate a meaningful career at the intersection of finance and impact. Outside of school, Sara loves to run, write, and do yoga!

Kevin is interested in learning about positive and sustainable business practices to apply to his future career. He is studying business with minors in earth science and entrepreneurship and is excited to use business as a means to improve society and the environment. On campus, he is a member of the Detroit Revitalization & Business Initiative, an organization committed to promoting the economic and social resurgence of Detroit. He is also a member of the Impact Investing Group, a club focused on educating members about the value of impact investing. Kevin is a first-generation college student from Irvine, California.
