THE TEAM Our architectural and design team, based in both Istanbul and NYC, came together to create 360-degree design experiences. We aim to far exceed expectations on design through efficient working models, in-budget projects and on-time delivery. Our diverse backgrounds and various areas of interest help us blend in flavorful music, food, humor in to our daily sketching, modeling and rendering.

Inanc started his career at Zaha Hadid Architects after completing his degree at Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. Throughout the 8.5 years he spent at the firm, he completed many significant projects such as the iconic mix-use development Wangjing Soho in Beijing and the innovative gallery expansion of Serpentine Sackler Gallery in London.

After winning 1st place at the International Radio & TV Tower Competition for Istanbul, he moved to Istanbul and opened the first studio. As a firm believer in continuous education and research, Inanc also teaches and collaborates on projects at Istanbul Bilgi University, Pratt Institute and Parsons New School.

Inanc is also the Co-founder of kolokyum. com – an open-source architectural collaboration platform for Turkey. In 2009, kolokyum.com was nominated as one of Turkey’s top 15 emerging web projects.

Today, kolokyum.com stands as one of the most active architectural competitionnews source with a community of 36.000+ architects, designers and urban planners.

Pinar Guvenc Managing Partner, MSc. After earning her BSc in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University and MSc in Economics and Finance from Southern Illinois University, Pinar worked at New York Grant Company as a Senior Consultant, specializing in economic incentives and grants for real estate development, job creation and technology innovation. In 2013, she co-founded New York Functional Furniture - an e-commerce platform for functional furniture designed in NYC. She set up the corporate and logistical infrastructure in NYC and comanaged the business operations. After its showroom opening in Chelsea - NYC in January 2015, the company was acquired

by Lazzoni USA, an international furniture manufacturer and retailer.

Since March 2015, Pinar manages business operations and product development of Eray/Carbajo. She oversees material sourcing, prototyping, and manufacturing processes of studio’s designs. .

Understanding the importance of marketing for strategic growth and product commercialization, she teaches “Marketing Collaborations” workshops at Brooklyn Navy Yards, funded by Made in NYC initiative and Pratt Center for Community Development. Pinar also serves on the Program Committee of SMPS, a national organization that helps professional service businesses in their marketing efforts.

Gonzalo Carbajo Founding Partner, MArch, Assoc. AIA Gonzalo Carbajo started his professional career at Gerardo Caballero Arquitectos’s office, a prestigious boutique design firm based in Rosario, Argentina. After working with him over 3 years at the firm, he won first prize for “Fundacion Arquitectonica” scholarship and joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2007 in London, UK. He worked there for 2 and a half years and moved to NYC to join Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP (SOM), spending 7 years of his professional career working on iconic New York projects such as Baccarat Hotel and Residences.

With him joining, Eray Carbajo opened its Brooklyn studio in early 2014. Throughout his entire professional career Gonzalo has been closely involved in the academic world as professor, lecturer and reviewer in design critics in Rosario, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, London, and New York for Facultad de Urbanismo, Planeamiento y Diseño in Rosario, Architectural Association in London, Pratt Institute in New York, and City College in New York, Currently he hold a position as professor at Pratt Institute in New York, where he teaches Comprehensive Design.

ADAM GROOMING ATELIER London, UK

the STORY Adam- the First Man Welcome to ADAM: a grooming atelier for gentlemen who are seeking a timeless barbering experience to compliment their lifestyles. The ADAM experience is not about the latest trend or bygone era, it’s about stepping into a contemporary, uncluttered space, indulging in the artful hands and discerning eye of our barbers, and walking out feeling restored and looking sharp and polished.

ADAM’s traditions take root in Roman barbering, old-world craftsmanship, and English etiquette. Like the earliest artisans, ADAM’s talented barbers have acquired their expertise through years of experience and apprenticeship. At the atelier, every guest is refreshed and invigorated by an experience that’s catered specifically to his needs, from a close shave and hot-towel press to a head-and-neck massage and beard trim.

ADAM’s logo features the profile of a man whose lines and shapes suggest the streets and neighbourhoods of a city—a reminder that ADAM’s identity is continually formed by the clientele who work, play, and live here now. This modern Adam knows that today’s paradise is one of his own making. His ambitions scrape the sky but his feet are every bit on the ground.

the BRAND Our ateliers across London’s dynamic neighbourhoods will offer unique grooming services, classic grooming products and artisanal accessories.

Our signature collections of fragrance, skincare and accessories have been developed to equip the modern gentleman with everything he needs, in town or country. Like our grooming services, our collections combine traditional English sensibilities with a modern aesthetic.

the PLACES On the back of its strong investor base and attractive unit economics, the brand has plans to reach 10 stores in Central London by 2018. Adam is targeting sites with day-time working professional foot traffic.

the SPACE Simplicity, elegance and the use of natural materials form a perfect backdrop for an experience that reconnects the modern Adam with his original abode The design allows for different levels of privacy. Semi-private hexagonal grooming cabins allow guests to become the center of attention while giving them the ability to connect to the united whole if and when they desire.

Use of timber—natural oak—sets a relaxing vibe, while the sleek, continuous lines give depth and richness to the space.

Use of natural stone—Marmara Marble—on the floor and the walls adds a luxurious, welcoming feel. Traditionally used in Turkish Baths, the character of this marble primes the guest for rejuvenation.

Taken as a whole, the grain of the timber juxtaposed with the polished marble calls to mind the interplay between rough and smooth: the art of grooming itself.
