Those studying during the ’20-’21 academic year will be known for their flexibility, creativity, and perseverance. This year’s Erasmus Recruitment Days will be different compared to all its predecessors. However, also during these turbulent times, Erasmus Recruitment has set out to offer the students of Erasmus University the opportunity to take the next step. The Erasmus Recruitment Days provides the most accessible opportunity to find your way into the business world. More than over 70 leading employers searching to find the brightest talents of this generation. This year’s event provides a broad range of activities and numerous opportunities to take the first step in your dream career. We have extended our portfolio and have included a new activity. Power Networking, allowing you to find an employer that suits you best within your favourite sector. Activities In the online scenario the links for all activities are shown in your personal schedule. We will ensure the same quality will be guaranteed as the usual offline Days. In the physical scenario, the time blocks can be shifted forward or backward by a maximum of 30 minutes. The reason for this is that in the physical scenario different time slots will be used for the arrival of recruiters and students so that safety is best guaranteed. It is therefore possible that your workshop may start and ends 15 minutes earlier.

Network Drink

We would like to welcome all participants to the festive kick-off of the Erasmus Recruitment Days 2021 on January 26th. There will be a short ceremony with several speakers and discussion about relevant business topics. Check the location or online link on the website and the social media channels. Suit up and celebrate this Grand Opening with us!

The Network Drink is the perfect opportunity to network with companies in an informal setting. Several companies will have a stand at the drink, giving you a chance to introduce yourself to the company. The daily Network Drink will be organised from 17:00 until 19:00 online. This drink is open to all students participating in the Erasmus Recruitment Days. Take your chance (and drink!) and socialize informally with recruiters from several interesting companies!

Training You can improve your personal skills by participating in the trainings offered during the Erasmus Recruitment Days. The different types of trainings can be divided into three pillars of development: personal development, job application advice, and career guidance. Take a look at page 7 for the different trainings we offer.

Power Networking During the Power Networking activity you will get the chance to meet several recruiters of different companies that belong to the same sector. As a student, you will be able to speak with each recruiter for up to 8 minutes. This type of interview enables you to meet more recruiters in an informal way.

Special Days Besides our general activities, we also host four special days which are focused on a specific topic. This year we organize the International Day, the Financial Investments Day, the Sustainability Day, and the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Day. For more information regarding our special days, please check page 17.

Informal Recruitment Meet the people behind the company during an Informal Recruitment activity. Here, you will experience the company’s culture and participate in a fun activity at the same time.


Workshop

Company Dinner

A Workshop offers you the unique opportunity to gain insights in the daily practices of a company. You will work together with fellow students to solve a case or participate in a management game. The Workshop will give you a realistic idea of the type of problems you would face as an employee of the company. Make sure to impress companies with your talents!

During a Company Dinner, you will enjoy a luxurious dinner hosted exclusively by one company. This is a unique chance to discover more about the company’s culture and its people. Besides, it is the perfect opportunity to make a good first impression! The Dinners will be online as well.

Individual Interview Suit up and sit down with a recruiter to get in touch with companies on an individual level. The Individual Interview will last 30 or 50 minutes and is either an orienting conversation or a formal interview. The duration and specifications of the interview will be indicated in the programme booklet and our website (https://erasmusrecruitment.nl/days).

Branch Dinner A Branch Dinner gives you the opportunity to meet two or three different companies from a certain branch during a dinner organised fully online. You will receive a Deliveroo voucher and a box with drinks and a snack for the online drink afterwards. After each course you will change Breakout room, enabling you to speak with representatives from different companies in your branch. During the main course you will share a table with the company that has selected you. Branches: Audit & Accountancy, FMCG, Strategy, and Consulting. The Dinners will be organized online from 17:00 untill 19:00.

Sustainability Day

As the amount of international students at the Erasmus University has increased over the past years, we have organised a special day exclusively for international students. Multinational companies are eager to benefit from different cultural backgrounds to build a more diverse and stronger business model. Due to the COVID-19 situation, there might be the possibility that a lot of international students cannot be in the Netherlands during the Erasmus Recruitment Days 2021. Hence, we have decided to organise the International Day fully online. Don’t hesitate and kickoff your international career!

Both Bachelor and Master students can participate in the Erasmus Recruitment Days. In the schedule above you can find the recommended activities for each study phase, based on companies’ preferences. You can also find which activities require a CV Selection and a motivation letter. It is important to keep in mind that the deadline for applying for these activities is on the 8th of January.


FAQ Where can I find my personal schedule? You can view your schedule online by logging in to our website (www.erasmusrecruitment.nl/days) and clicking on ‘my activities’. Your schedule will be available on January 23rd 2021 12:00. How does the selection process for the activities work? The selection process is done by the companies based on your CV (and motivation if applicable). To maximize your chances, make sure your CV is up-to-date and your motivation is sincere. For nonCV selection activities, the selection will be done randomly. However, your chance of being selected will improve if you have not been selected for any other activities. Why do I have to upload an anonymous CV? You need to upload your anonymous CV so we can guarantee that only the companies that have selected you, receive your contact details. If your CV is not anonymous, we cannot send your CV to the companies you have applied for and you cannot be selected. Furthermore, by anonymizing your CV, companies will only select you based on your competencies and experience and everyone will be treated equally in the selection process. An anonymous CV does not include names and other personal details.

How do I unsubscribe from an activity? You can unsubscribe yourself from activities on the website until two business days in advance, before 17:00 via www.erasmusrecruitment.nl/days. For example, if you cannot attend an activity on Tuesday, you have to unsubscribe the foregoing Friday before 17:00. After this time, you will have to send an email to penalties@erasmusrecruitment.nl, and include your full name and the activity you want to unsubscribe from. if you do not cancel your activity on time, you will get a fine. Read more about our penalty policy on page 18. What is the dress code for the event?

Penalty Policy

Why do we have a penalty policy? By participating in the Erasmus Recruitment Days, you agree to face a penalty if you do not show up for CV-selection activities or any of the Special Days (International Day, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Day, Financial Investments Day, and Sustainability Day). Our penalty policy is to make sure you cancel your activity on time, so we can give other students who are on the stand-by list a chance to fill up the free spot. If you unsubscribe on time you will not get a fine and another student will be very happy to get your spot: a win-win situation.

How does it work? For all CV-selection activities and the Special Days during the Erasmus Recruitment Days 2021 (26th January – 12th February), the following penaltypolicy applies: Unsubscribe before 17:00 If you want to unsubscribe two working days in advance, before 17:00 → You will be able to unsubscribe through our website www.erasmusrecruitment.nl/days and no fine will be incurred. Unsubscribe after 17:00 If you want to unsubscribe two working days in advance, after 17:00 → Send an email to penalties@erasmusrecruitment.nl and include your full name and the activity you want to unsubscribe from. However, a fine of €15.00 will be charged. No-show In case you don’t unsubscribe and don’t show up → A fine of €25.00 will be charged.
