How to Swap Cartridge Chips for Epson Printer?

But there are two methods of resetting a chip which lets the user utilize the most out of their cartridge thus, saving money on purchasing a new one. These processes help in resetting so that the printer can recognize the refilled cartridges.
Let's learn from one of the methods of resetting i.e. through Swapping the Cartridge chips. Below is the process of resetting-
First of all take-out both the color and black ink
cartridge from the Epson device.
For removing any excess plastic from the top post of it
which holds the chip in place you can use a singlesided razor blade.
Now move the chip up and out of the cartridge.
Continue… Again follow the 2 and 3 steps for the other ink
cartridge.
Swap the spots of the cartridges i.e. place the chip
from black into the colored one and placing the colored into the black spot. This is a trick for letting the printer think that empty cartridge is full, depending upon the level of ink available.
Now, place both of them back to their Epson spots.
Continue… To direct the printer that you have inserted them back
to their positions, tap on Ink Change button on the device.
Remove both the cartridges after pressing Ink Change
button again.
To place the chips in their original slots switch the
cartridge chips with one another.
Continue ď‚— To prepare the printer for printing tap on Ink Change
button on the device. The device will show the same level of ink of both black and colored one. In this way, you can get the more out of the ink out of the empty one that was asked to replace or refilled by the printer without spending a single penny and efforts.
