Global markets at a glance US stocks dipped on Thursday as a US Supreme Court ruling on state sales tax collection pulled Amazon and other online retailers lower while industrials continued to falter on concerns over trade war concerns.Amazon dropped as much as 1.9 percent after the ruling, which allows states to force online retailers to collect sales taxes, before paring losses to trade down 0.9 percent. Wayfair lost 0.7 percent, Overstock.com tumbled 6.5 percent, Etsy declined 1.0 and Ebay dropped 3.2 percent.Intel also weighed heavily on the S&P 500, down 2.0 percent after Chief Executive Officer Brian Krzanich resigned following a probe that revealed a past consensual relationship with an employee violated company policy. Asian stocks extended their losses in morning trade on Friday, tracking losses seen on Wall Street as trade tensions between the U.S. and China continuing to weigh on investor sentiment.Overnight, the S&P 500 Index slipped 0.6% and the Dow fell 0.8%.The European slapped penalties on multiple American products that worth around $3.2 billion on Friday, including motorcycles and orange juice as retaliatory measures against Trump administration’s tariffs.The move added another front to a trade war that triggered a sell-off in global equities since the beginning of the week."We did everything we could to avoid this situation, but now we have no choice but to respond," Cecilia Malmstrom, the European commissioner for trade, said in a speech in Wellington, New Zealand Previous day Roundup The Nifty failed to hold 10,800-mark touched in the early trade and closed the volatile session lower but managed to hold its near term crucial support levels 10,701-10,726 on Thursday. The index made a 'Bearish Belt Hold' kind of pattern for the last three out of four consecutive sessions According to Pivot charts, the key support level is placed at 10,708.13, followed by 10,675.17.
