The e-Participation Assessment

The partners developed a template to evaluate the accessibility of electronic platforms.

The partners designed a selfanswering template to evaluate the accessibility of electronic platforms belonging to the f o l l o w i n g a rea s : p o l i t i c a l participation, public services, social networks, and culture.

Furthermore, the partners will held focus groups in their own communities. Young people and youth workers will have the possibility to explore and evaluate the same platforms as the partners. This dual approach will make it possible to compare assessments and elaborate recommendations to improve accessibility to electronic platforms.

The project will celebrate focus groups at local level with young people with and without disabilities, so that they themselves will have the possibility of evaluating the a c c e s s i b i l i t y o f e l e c t ro n i c p l at f o r m s , expressing their opinions and preparing their own proposals. At the same time, in these sessions the young people will have the possibility to deepen the concepts of youth participation and civic competences, as well as the possibilities of new technologies in new ways of participating and acquiring competences. In the next newsletter we will know the results of these sessions. Do not miss it!

The project is developing a HandBook through bibliographic review, good practice mapping and platform testing. In this sense, the index of the HandBook will address, among others, the following aspects: 1. How to improve/promote the civic competences of young people through the accessibility of electronic platforms 2. What are the fundamental key elements that an electronic platform must have in order to be accessible to people with limitations. 3. How to design and implement tools so that certain groups with limitations can participate electronically. Do not miss it in the next newsletter!
