Eastern Oregon (14-6, 7-4 CCC) got 21 kills from Stefani Sorensen and 15 from Irene Walters. Sorensen, finished the night with a .415 hitting percentage. Kaitlyn Duncan had a game high 30 digs. Karly Stack had 30 assists while Bobbi Sumpter added 28.

The Crusaders (9-8) and the Mountaineers battled throughout the opening set. The game saw 11 ties and five lead changes. EOU led late 17-16, but the Crusaders would go on a five-point run to take a 21-17 lead. Eastern responded with a comeback of their own but would drop the set, 20-25. In the second set the Mountaineers started off strong with a 5-0 lead. The Crusaders cut the lead to one, 10-9, but that is as close as they would get. EOU would rally and take game two, 25-22. “Tonight was a great win for Mountie volleyball. We took advantage of the opportunity to work on some things that we really needed to and we accomplished them,” Eastern Oregon head coach Kaki Morehead said. “That was exactly the

EOU seemed to have the momentum as they led midway through 13-9 and late 23-21. But, the Crusades would score four unanswered points to steal the set, 25-23. The set was tied at 3 apiece, until EOU went on a four-point run. Midway through the Crusaders came back to within two, 9-7. EOU would then score eight unanswered points to win the set and match.
