Happy October! This month started with my 40th birthday and as I was processing how this much time has flown by, I’m extremely grateful for the person I have become and this era of my life my confidence era!

We all have the opportunity to enjoy the season we are in and become the best version of ourselves Many times we wait until a new year, but I want to invite you into this season of becoming. Care for the person in the mirror in this season right now.

Lessons from the season of Autumn

LETTING GO & GROWING FORWARD

So often we get so easily hung up on quantifying ourselves according to a hidden timeline We halt ourselves at both success and failure and ambigious deadlines we create in our minds And yet, we were never meant to While new year’s and new you’s are great intentions, they are often linked to self defeat as we don’t hit the marks of the lofty goals we set for our own transformation

This is why I love autumn, and the idea of becoming. Autumn transcends time as the ultimate bridge between seasons It draws us in with its passionate array of vibrant color, which is actually signaling death in every way. In a bold display, nature gives it her all as she simultaneously hunkers down for the interior work of winter And every leaf that is shed contributes to the magnificence of spring if she just let’s go and is ready to do the work of healing, restoring, waiting

We as humans have our seasons. Our souls come alive in certain environments and our purpose is born And yet some seasons call for us to let go, retreat to our interior, and heal with the nourishment focused on self care and finding alignment again after we have shed our layers

This is the art of becoming. Spring and Fall are completely reliant on each other for the magnificence of the other, and yet the Winter between is a necessary part of that underground work that sets the stage for the newness that arrives after. Becoming is not a destination, its not a summit, its the consistency of moving forward...sometimes leaping, walking, sometimes barely crawling. Becoming is welcoming the setbacks, the wins, and the growth that comes from every step.

I love that doTERRA themed its entire year and Convention with the title of “Becoming” Its such a poignant message and a theme that hits close in all the right ways It is never too late to become and the -ing means that we are never NOT becoming Its the active verb that threads the entire story of our lives into the funnel of our purpose and ultimate journey It encompasses our body, our health, our home, our lifestyle, our relationships, and weaves those things into the gifts that become our world

As you step into this season, embrace the opportunity of all the ways you can make small, consistent shifts in your journey towards becoming What is most needed from you or FOR you right now? Do you need to focus on restoration? Are there areas of your body that are talking loudly and need your attention? Are there relationships that need to grow? Are there things you need to finally let go of to free yourself towards your purpose and passion? What are you waiting for? Harness this autumn as a season of setting new intentions in your journey of BECOMING the most you that you have ever been

EMBRACE THE SEASONS

It’s true, we are naturally drawn to the change of the seasons, and it goes far beyond craving pumpkin spice Fall symbolizes a season of preparation, of letting go, or of doing the restorative work interiorly Fall has a magnificent effect on our state of mind as the temperatures change and we shift our focus on the exernal exploits of summer, and turn inward to check in with our selves- how am I really?
