LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Marina

Lee

With over fifteen years of experience as an educator, Marina has worked with countless youth making the transition into empowered and able learners at the collegiate level. She founded a Seoul-based educational advising program that became the subject of a Harvard case study on Social Entrepreneurship. At Envoys, Marina is responsible for ensuring that each student receives individualized support before, during, and after each trip to develop their passion and voice. A former biological researcher, Marina earned her M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where her studies focused on Immigration, Education, and Identities.


INSTRUCTOR

Jamie

Rosenberg

Jamie has been a classroom teacher for more than a decade, while at the same time engaging in international relations between Japan and the United States. He worked in the International Affairs Section of a local government in Japan, has been a Japanese translator for most of a decade, and ran an art show in Sendai City to bring together local residents with foreign citizens. His studies included International Security at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and Japanese History at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.


INSTRUCTOR

Pierre De

Galbert

Pierre has worked in international education for more than a decade. His work and personal travels have taken him to 25 countries in Africa, where he has lived for more than seven years in four different countries. As a teacher and mentor in Namibia and Rwanda, Pierre gained extensive experience working with youth of different ages and cultures. Pierre is currently completing doctoral studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He regularly serves as a consultant for Envoys on curriculum development and global citizenship endeavors.


INSTRUCTOR

Danxi has over five years of experience working with children and youth to develop leadership and communications skills through innovative ways of learning. She founded an organization in Beijing, China to teach teamwork and leadership through drama and artistic experiences.

Shen

At Envoys, Danxi observes and analyses the needs and expectations of students, parents, and schools to ensure that the trips are tailored to the cultural context and the interests and needs of students. A graduate of Peking University, Danxi is completing her Master’s Degree in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.


INSTRUCTOR

Wanning

Ding

A graduate of Capitol Normal University in Beijing, Wanning completed her M.Ed from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her graduate work focused on methods to mitigate the psychological stresses around college applications. Wanning currently works with Envoys to develop programs that are tailored to meet the specific needs of Chinese students and ensure that our curriculum can be understood across cultural lenses.


INSTRUCTOR

Drew

Lichtenstein

Drew has worked for over three years as a classroom teacher, with most of his time teaching Advance Placement World History and U.S. History in a Chinese high school in Shanghai, where he also intensively studied Chinese. His studies include an M.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of Georgia and an M.Ed. in International Education Policy from Harvard. At Envoys, Drew is responsible for helping develop online curriculum course books that will prepare students to have meaningful trips abroad. His content focuses on history and current political affairs, and his primary goals are to make courses interactive and meaningful for students.
