OUR STORY We’ve been getting it done for over 30 years!

Our company came to life in 1997 as First Houston Mortgage, founded by Dana Gampers and David Zugheri; bringing on Pat Walden and his equity partners in 2008. On our 15-year anniversary in 2012, we became one of the top 50 mortgage lenders in the United States as we launched our Correspondent channel. At Envoy, our extremely solid financial position is one of our greatest strengths. It allows us to grow and take advantage of opportunities to continually improve our Retail channel, and further develop our Correspondent Lending channel.

During his career, he has held positions as a Correspondent Regional Account Manager, Correspondent Internal Account Manager and Marketing Manager. Most recently, he helped develop the Correspondent lending channel for Nations Direct Mortgage. Steve was attracted to Envoy’s commitment to service, the company history and culture, and their core values. It is his firm belief that building relationships is based on earning trust, which is dependent upon providing professional, timely and knowledgeable service. Steve resides in Orange County California and when not working can be found enjoying beach volleyball or a new book, but most enjoyably spending time with his wife Ruby and daughter Alia.
