BUSINESS MEETS DECISION, HERE

P

roviders and the decision makers of the $3.8 trillion* industry meets under one roof.

Technology is now a factor in more strategic decision making than ever before. From big data and business analytics, to break out departments using cloud technology to operate more like start-ups, technology is increasingly the medium in which business takes place. So how can a savvy solution provider take advantage of this shift, and how can a switched-on CIO make themselves indispensable to the business? Business meets the decision here. The World CIO 200 Summit gathers global IT decision makers and solution providers in a unique platform this year. The Summit will build roadmaps for strategic decision making and identify yardsticks that are the key drivers of growth in the digital world. BUSINESS STRATEGY

TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION

Leadership across every aspect of business and IT is crucial in the shift to Generation NeXT. In response to these demands, technology and information leadership is undergoing a revolution. The beliefs and models of how we work are being shattered and re-shaped. It begins with mindsets accepting and embracing perpetual change. This track challenges your thinking about leadership, skills and the organization required to successfully navigate uncertainty and create a culture for success.

Digital transformation has impacted all enterprises, and the winners will be those that can constantly adapt to change. CxOs are investing to exploit opportunities in digital business. CIOs must ditch the traditional IT project focused mind-set in favor of an IT product-focused approach. This track is for CIOs and IT leaders planning the role of information and technology in enterprise digital strategy

An understanding of how technology and information is constantly evolving is a critical step in creating an effective transition to ContinuousNext. This track examines how new practices can be amplified by technology, leading to new capabilities that provide new business opportunities and increase value delivery. CIOs and IT Executives will learn how to apply selected trending technologies for this exact purpose. These technologies include AI, machine learning and advanced data analysis, Blockchain and increasingly more comprehensive digital business platforms.

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY BREAKFAST Exclusive invite only breakfast networking for different interest of peoples in different workout & sessions. Well, it is not just everyday bread and butter!

BREAKOUT SESSIONS SECURITY

LEADERSHIP

Cybersecurity is an important pillar of business continuity and data privacy protection. Most boards aren’t focusing on these issues for long, while CISOs are having a different discussion. Nevertheless, security and data privacy deserve all the attention. To prevent any problems and to take chances.

Leadership and Ownership: A CIO needs to have both the traits. Technology helps, but people make the difference. Many organizations struggle with the ‘people’s dilemma’. What competences are needed to cope with change? How do you manage this talent and who takes the lead?

TECH TRENDS Robotics, process automation, block chain, internet or things, artificial intelligence, smart devices and sensors often provide a direct business need. No push from IT but a pull from the organization. How do you as a CIO and IT organization coop with? It’s a matter of making the right choices.

CUSTOMER AT THE CENTER The traditional focus of IT used to be on systems in the back office. A few years ago, the customer was suddenly seen as the starting point. Process optimization and streamlining of systems are still important, but mostly in the context of creating an optimal customer experience.

SPEED-TO-MARKET In today’s dynamics where markets are disturbed by newcomers and big tech players, speed is fundamental. Prolonged development processes are making way for agile processes, supported by the right tooling and platforms. On the hunt for a market share with ‘minimum viable products’!

DATA IS MONEY, MONEY IS TIME Leading companies agree: everything starts with data. Not only in the context of a better understanding of customers, market dynamics and finance, but also for streamlining the process, both internally and across the chain. Here is an ever-increasing call for the correct meta and master data.

TECH BY DESIGN

TRANSFORMATION

DIGITAL

Often the impression is that many new tech companies operate from a creative chaos, without restrictive frameworks and appointments. The reality is that the best start-ups and scale-ups in the adoption of APIs, cloud, micro services, data management are in fact very well aware of their own architecture and governance.

Whoever is talking about digital transformation, isn’t just talking about technology. It entails new methodologies, new organizational forms, and even new cultures within organizations. Agile, Scrum, DevOps, Lean, etc. are ways in which you can shape the transformation into an organizational sense.

What distinguishes digital transformation of digitization? Really digital driven companies go beyond a data layer or otherwise technological addition to existing products. It’s about a way of operating that is embedded through the entirety of the organization. To start with the board.

AJAY RATHI

MOHAMMED MAHNASHI

Implementation— It is not just a word, it’s a procedure. Initiation includes the information gathering, conceptualizing, and planning for the adoption of an innovation, leading up to the actual adoption decision. Implementation includes all the events, actions and decisions involved in putting the innovation into use. This Pillar led by Mohammed Mahnashi and will take into account aspects of being an Implementation champion which includes directing a broad range of corporate IT initiatives, while participating in yearly planning, analysis & implementation of solutions in support of business objectives; holds full P&L accountability for business transformation and projects and establishment and maintenance of a robust and scalable ICT architecture.

Today’s CIOs face myriad challenges of increasing urgency and intensity. Amidst a sea of uncertainty and constraints, CIOs need to navigate with agility, focus and resolve. It goes without saying that a wellconceived plan or strategy is essential in charting a course successfully. It is undisputed that CIOs need to have a better understanding of their businesses’ technology needs, both in the short as well as long term. They are also called upon to be more effective at driving partnerships and shared accountability with the business. This pillar is led by Ajay Rathi. The sections in this pillar capture the experience and wisdom of our IT leader & volunteers, who are senior IT leaders on different aspects of IT Strategy & how it linked to overall originations performance & vision.

ASHITH PIRIYATTIATH

The pillar would capture the innovative and open-to-risk and opento-change mindset of our IT leaders who have to invest their faith in continuous learning and staying to date with industry happenings and having a pulse of whats ‘Next’.

EXCELLENCE DR. JASSIM HAJI

INSPIRE

NETWORK

VENKATESH MAHADEVAN

With the immersive invasion of internet as well as smartphones’ applications and digital social networking, people become more socially connected through virtual spaces instead of meeting in physical public spaces. Virtual interactions gain more prominence than physical meetings. The term Network also imbibes the concept of Partnerships into it. CIOs need to be ready to partner and collaborate with business owners or stakeholders, whose business is undergoing a transformation. This pillar is led by Venkatesh Mahadevan who propels the approach of implementing ICT tools that not only connects peers with peers but also brings back the power of faceto-face networking and creating a knowledge-based economy.

Exceeding each and every expectation extraordinarily. This pillar and & its volunteers argue that excellence improves performance to greatly surpass normal standards in achieving a continuously moving target. The original and creative use of technology plays an important part in every organization’s pursuit of excellence for a better world. For IT professionals, excellence is like a never-ending list of project implementations and enhancements to improve systems and technology for businesses. There can always be better ways to perform or make something especially in the realm of Information Technology where new inventions and innovations are developed faster than ever before. This team contributions & enrich our communities with insight more on Excellence. This pillar is led by Dr. Jassim Haji who talks about the DNA of Excellence in the organization and who & how to map Excellence to Design, Build and Run in organization & industry.

RELATIONSHIPS DR. ESAM ALFALASI

PASSION

YAHYA AL MAWALI Digital transformation efforts remain isolated in many businesses, but its passion that drives the journey. Its about being passionate, informed and experienced and initiating a mix of technologyfirst and customer-first approach. It is imperative that the Leaders work in partnership to drive Passion across the organization and lay the foundation for the organization to be able to adapt itself to the changes, both digitally and otherwise in the coming days. This pillar led by Yahya Al Mawali and will imbibe the key aspects of nurturing the passion, championing opportunities, decentralizing the passion within the team and implementing the right ‘Passion’ tools in the organization.

It focuses on the need for CIOs to build up a key survival skill with the ability to manage relationship with various stakeholders as a way to influence business strategies. No longer are the days when IT can just focus on keeping the lights on. As part of their multifaceted roles, CIOs should embrace the relationship dimension which may require them to tap on extended networks to build a strong ecosystem in IT and beyond. You are ultimately communicating with individuals, so identifying the correct persons in the relevant communities is essential. CIOs have to translate stake-holders’ needs and wants and having good relationships will ease such conversations. We should prioritize functions that are more critical from a day-to-day, operational view in terms of relative importance and criticality for the business. This pillar is led by Dr. Esam AlFalasi and focuses on the power of building strong relationships with key stakeholders, Corporate Relationship Management etc.
