Wehave been taskedwith designingastate-of-theartUniversitySportsComplexfor the AirForceAcademyin ColoradoSprings.isnew facilitywillserveasadynamichubfor athleticexcellence,providing cadetswithcuttingedgeresourcesforphysicaltraining, competition, andrecreation. Strategicallylocated onthecampus,thecomplexwill complementandenhance thecurrent infrastructure.Ourdesignwillfocusoncreatinga space thatnotonlymeetsthefunctionalneeds of cadetsbutalsoembodiesthe academy’s valuesofdiscipline,teamwork,and resilience, whileintegratingseamlessly withthesurroundinglandscape.rough thoughtfulplanning andinnovation,thesports complexwillbecomeavitalcomponentof the academy’s commitmenttofostering well-roundedleaders.

Withourdesignwe decidedtohavea buildingthatseperates loudandquietareasbutstillis functionable enuogh tosuiteverybody’sneeds.Along withsplittingup the areaswe split the whole buildingin halfandspreadit out toleavespaceforthesmallroadto pass through.Andaskybridgestaircase was addedto make accessfrom onebuilding to theother.
