Class 1. Grammar: Past Simple Positive. Vocabulary: Regular verbs. Materials: Student Book: Unit 4 Class 1 SPR: Present tense verbs in positive Note to Teacher: (5 minutes) In this unit we are officially starting to work in groups of four with (1) Head Partners. (Person in front of them). (2) Shoulder Partners. (Person next to them). Take this time introduce that concept for your students. A. Get students into groups of four. B. Tell them that we will be doing head partners and shoulder partners. Tell them this will be to give them an opportunity to practice speaking skills, by talking to more people. C. Model, and have them practice: -Looking at their shoulder partner (when you say so). -Looking at their head partner (when you say so). -Looking at you (when you say so). SPR (5 minutes): Review present Simple (Material in Student Book: SPR). Objective: To review present tense verbs in positive form. A. Review pronouns and their meaning. B. Elicit from students the correct present tense conjugation of the following verbs: Examples: - Study - Play - Walk - Work C. Give students 5 seconds to answer, if not call on another. D. Repeat multiple times to check pronunciation. E. Review conjugation with he/she/it. GIVE WOWs TO STUDENTS THAT ANSWER CORRECTLY.
