Jeff Rutt, founder of HOPE International, is keenly aware of the worldwide impact of COVID-19. HOPE International is a nonprofit organization that seeks to alleviate poverty in all its forms - spiritual, material, social, and personal. Over its more than 20-year history, the organization, with offices at 227 Granite Run Drive, Suite 250, Lancaster, has done that by loaning out more than $1 billion and helping to start savings groups among about a million clients in 16 countries. Through Wednesday, Sept. 30, the Art Gallery at United Zion Retirement Community (UZRC), 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, will showcase photographer Jennifer Cavalcante’s photos of birds from The National Aviary in Pittsburgh - the only independent nonprofit

A Way To Honor Your Grandparents

The Lititz Historical Foundation has invited Dutchyfunk to take center stage at the organization’s annual Ice Cream Social in the Mary Oehme Gardens, 137-145 E. Main St., Lititz. The concert and social will be held on Sunday, Sept. 6, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The gardens are located behind the Historical Foundation Museum in downtown Lititz. Dutchyfunk is a New Orleans-style brass band from Lancaster County, known for its high-energy performances. The concert, which is free to the public, is sponsored by Moravian Manor. The event will give attendees a chance to relax in lawn chairs or on blankets for a safe evening of music in the gardens. Ice cream will be provided courtesy of Greco’s of Lititz. The foundation asks that guests wear masks when not eating or drinking and to spread out and social
