Pedal For Hope To Support Counseling Fund

“Pedal for Hope is a great combination of an awesome ride on the rail trail with the ability to support a needed resource here in the Southern End. Everyone is encouraged to sign up for this fun Saturday morning event,” said John Riddell, a member of the committee that is planning the fundraiser for New Hope Community Life Ministry, which offers counseling services. The event is not a race, stressed New Hope board secretary John Girvin. “We wanted this to be an opportunity to relax, exercise, and spend family time while doing something to give back to the community,” he explained. “For

The Friends of the Quarryville Library, 357 Buck Road, will host their monthly book sale on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The sale will feature history-related items and media.

Home gardeners are invited to learn from horticulture experts and meet other people interested in growing plants for personal use at this year’s Shirley R. Wagner Garden Symposium. The event will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, just off Manheim Pike, Lancaster. The doors will open at 7:45 a.m. The cost for admission will include a continental breakfast and lunch. Container gardening will be a major focus of the symposium.
