The Lancaster County Woodcarvers show, which was set for Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, at Millersville University, has been canceled due to circumstances beyond the organizers’ control. Millersville University has suspended all activities, including the show. Organizers hope to reschedule the event in 2021. More details will be released to the public after the show committee meets.

BLOCK SHOOT

West Willow Fire Company will hold a block shoot on Saturday, March 21, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Pequea Valley Sportsmen’s Association, 195 Rawlinsville Road, Willow Street. There will be cash prizes and meat prizes. The cost to enter may be paid at the door. The block shoot will benefit the fire company.

BOOK SALE

357 Buck Road, will host their monthly book sale on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The sale will feature history-related items and media.

Grace Community Church (GCC) of Willow Street, 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street, will hold its annual benefit auction on Friday, March 27, from 5 to 9 p.m. From 5 to 7:30 p.m., a silent auction will be open, and dinner prepared by Hess’s Barbecue Catering Inc., will be available for purchase. A live auction will begin at 6 p.m. Child care for youngsters age 5 and under will be offered from 6 to 7:30 p.m. While no cost has been set for the child care, donations will be accepted. Only cash will be accepted for the meal, with separate prices set for children ages 3 to 10 and for people age 11 and older. The menu will be “take what you want” and will include pork barbecue, pit beef, hot dogs, coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and beverages. The auctions will feature more than
