When Manheim Township High School (MTHS) graduates more than 400 seniors from the Class of 2019 on Wednesday, June 5, at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, at 6:45 p.m., three students will be prepared to address their family, friends, school staff members, and fellow classmates. Gabi Brown, the daughter of Derek and Laurie Brown of Lititz; Amir Lynch, the son of Maurice Lynch and Lonnette Stewart of Lancaster; and Hallie Mylin, the daughter Matt and Kelly Mylin of Lancaster, have each chosen a speech topic based on the theme of “A Road Trip.” Gabi’s presentation will talk about “Preparation” for a road trip. “My speech incorporates the road trip theme and what you need to pack on

Gabi noted that some comments on lack of preparation will also be included. “(I will talk about) being inadequately prepared when life throws (something unexpected) at you,” explained Gabi. At MTHS, Brown has played soccer for four years and participated in track for two years. She served as the food chair of Mini-THON and is a member of Key Club and the ski club. In the fall, she plans to attend Elizabethtown College to study business management and financial economics with plans to go into hospitality management.
