The Upper Leacock Township War Memorial Association (ULTWMA) will hold an indoor flea market on Saturday, April 4, in the Veterans Hall of the War Memorial Building, 54 W. Main St., Leola, from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. More than 40 vendors will offer a variety of items for sale from crafts to toys. There is no admission charge. Refreshments will be available. Heart2Heart4Women will hold its second dinner and art gallery on Thursday, March 26, at The Barn at Stoner Commons, 605 Granite Run Drive, Lancaster. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The appetizer buffet will open at 6 p.m. The theme will be “Perseverance,” focusing on wellness for the mind, body, and spirit. Women are encouraged to wear active wear or sweats and bring their yoga mat if they wish. Friendship Heart Gallery Reschedules Art Auction Friendship Community has rescheduled its annual Friendship Heart Gallery art auction for Thursday, July 16, at Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences,850 Greenfield Road, Lancaster. The silent auction and an opportunity to meet the artists will begin at 6:30 p.m. The live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. The event had originally been scheduled for Thursday, March 26. The event will feature silent and live auctions featuring 50 works of art created by artists with intellectual disabilities and autism. Artwork available includes watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. Hors d’oeuvres will be served during the event. The Friendship Heart Gallery and Studio, a program of Friendship Community, is located at 118 N. Water St., Lancaster. There, 74 adult artists celebrate unique personalities and talents through free expression and collaboration. The artists learn artistic skills and various techniques for both traditional and unconventional media. Friendship Community is a Christian ministry cultivating See Heart Gallery pg 2

Manheim Central High School (MCHS) sophomore Blake Stiegauf had the opportunity of a lifetime when Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley teamed up with the Philadelphia Flyers to introduce him to his favorite player, Claude Giroux; sign a one-day contract; and suit up for a professional game on Feb. 28. Blake, 15, was referred to Make-A-Wish, a nonprofit organization that creates wishes for youths with a critical illness, after he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in April 2019. The day after his diagnosis he had surgery, followed by two rounds of inpatient chemotherapy at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey

When Lancaster Bible College (LBC) senior Ken Hatridge considered what his senior project should entail, he decided to focus on his future. “My passion is to work with choirs and orchestras within the church once I graduate,” said Hatridge, who has been interning under Calvary Church choir and orchestra director John Frye for more than a year. Working with the Calvary choir of about 90 and orchestra with up to 40 members, Hatridge will present his senior project, titled “Thirsty? Come See Worship Event pg 2
Lancaster Bible College student Ken Hatridge will complete his senior project when he directs the worship concert “Thirsty? Come and Drink, Let the Rivers Flow” at the school’s Good Shepherd Chapel on March 26 at 7 p.m. The concert will include Calvary Church’s 90-voice choir accompanied by the church’s orchestra.
