The Next Gen Senior Services Inc. board members invite the entire community to join them as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of the senior center with an open house on Thursday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Light refreshments will be available for visitors, and live gospel-bluegrass music will be performed by an Amish duet. “We want to get the word out that the center is here for everybody at no charge,” said board president Debbie Wright-Neff. The center serves residents from as far as Willow Street and Gap. For those who do not drive, Red Rose Transit may be available for transportation. The center is open Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a wide range of activities. One of the most popular programs is the Geri-Fit exercise classes offered each morning, with a higher level dance-exercise program on Fridays and a yoga class each Monday.
