Lifetree Café, located at Emmaus Road Café, 1886 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, will examine the love, selflessness, and personal sacrifice of mothers on Tuesday, May 7, at 7 p.m. Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. The program is titled “Love Ya, Mom: Celebrating Mothers.” The session is designed to honor the work of mothers while giving participants an opportunity to reflect on the impact of mothers in their own lives. WSUCC Slates Family Fun Fair By Dayna M. Reidenouer

Willow Street United Church of Christ (WSUCC) will continue its tradition of hosting a Family Fun Fair before Mother’s Day. This year’s festivities will take place on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 2 7 2 3 W i l l o w Street Pike North, Willow Street. The event will be held rain or shine, everyone is welcome to attend, and everything will be free of charge. An array of activities for children will be offered, including a bounce house, face painting, arts and crafts, cupcake decorating, games with prizes, and more. Family photos will be available, flowers will be given to women, and each household may take home an American flag. Drawings for prizes donated by local restaurants and retailers will be held during the event as well. See Family Fun Fair pg 4

205 E. Lemon St., Lancaster, will conduct cleanup and beautification efforts on Monday, May 13, through Wednesday, May 15. Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of cleanup tasks, including grave marker repairs. Under the direction of conservator Robert Mosko, participants will be introduced to the baseline knowledge, theory, techniques, and materials that underpin gravestone preservation. The threeday collaboration will also include hands-on training in cleaning headstones, repair practices, and resetting fallen monuments. People of all skill levels are welcome to attend. The hands-on workshop will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The event is free, and participants may register for one, two, or all three workshop days.
