Clifford To Visit Breakfast Event The Strasburg Lions Club and the Strasburg-Heisler Library are partnering to host a special buffet breakfast for young readers and their families. Breakfast With Clifford will be held on Saturday, April 13, from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Strasburg Fire Company, 203 W. Franklin St., Strasburg. The popular canine will visit with children and pose for photos during Breakfast With Clifford. The Strasburg Lions Club is active in the community. With more than 50 members, the group’s impact casts a wide net that includes hosting the Santa Train at the Strasburg Rail Road, organizing the borough’s annual Halloween Parade, and holding a variety of events that fund several scholarships for students at Lampeter-Strasburg High School. The Lions also give financial support to more than a dozen local organizations, including the StrasburgHeisler Library. “(The Lions) were able to assist the library in purchasing over 100 new large-print books last year, supporting the Lions Clubs International strategic objective of improving the quality of life for people who have vision impairments,” said Lions member and library executive director Kristin Fernitz.
