Proceeds from the Community Closet, 128 TownsEdge Drive, Quarryville, support New Hope’s mission to provide quality counseling for a variety of needs with a faith-based perspective regardless of the client’s ability to pay. The ministry is headquartered at 248-A Maple Ave., Quarryville. located at Emmaus Road Café, 1886 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, will explore how families torn apart by conflict can find hope for healing on Tuesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. The program is titled “Family Do-Over: Is It Ever Too Late?” It will feature the short film “The Ride,” which follows the story of a taxi driver whose last passenger on Christmas Eve is deeply troubled by a family conflict. Participants will discuss the film and consider if it is ever too late for a family to experience healing. Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Ascension Lutheran Church, 600 E. Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, invites the community to attend Joseph’s Table, a free community meal, on Thursday, March 21. Uniacke concurred, relating that he had bought two brand-new dress shirts still in their plastic packaging at the Community Closet the previous week. “We have an incredible gem of a thrift store,” he said. “You can save a lot of money and get really nice stuff.” While the racks and shelves are full of items in good condition, Tyson has been holding back a few select pieces in preparation for the ministry’s annual fashion show. The event will be held on Saturday, April 6, at Refton Brethren in Christ Church, 110 Church St., Refton. The doors will open at 5 p.m., and the buffet will open for dinner around 5:45 p.m. A silent auction will run during the evening, with additional opportunities to win door prizes and themed baskets. will hold a block shoot on Saturday, March 23, from 1 to 5 p.m. The event will be held at the Pequea Valley Sportsman Clubhouse, 195 Rawlinsville Road, Willow Street. There will be cash prizes and meat prizes during the event. A set cost will be charged at the door, and the block shoot will benefit the West Willow Fire Company.
