The Gathering of Worship and Gratitude is the result of the collaboration of Millersville Mennonite Church, Marietta Community Chapel, Mountville Mennonite Church, and East Petersburg Mennonite Church. Worship will be led by a team that is made up of representatives from each church, with the pastoral leaders in each church community also filling various roles throughout the night. Refreshments will be provided. There is no cost to attend. Service on DSAA’s board of directors is without remuneration, except for nominal expenses incurred in carrying out board members’ duties. Board members will serve a three-year term to be eligible for reappointment for one additional term. Board meetings will be held quarterly, and committee meetings will be scheduled and held when appropriate. Alliance (DSAA) is seeking board members. DSAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports families affected by addiction, disseminates information on where and how to obtain treatment for addiction, supports those in recovery, and educates the community about substance abuse and addiction. The board supports the work of DSAA and provides purposebased leadership and strategic governance. Specific board member responsibilities include serving as an adviser to the executive director; evaluating the impact and regularly measuring performance and effectiveness of the operations; approving the annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of and meeting all legal and fiduciary responsibilities; contributing to annual performance evaluations of the executive director; partnering with the executive director and other board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried; serving on committees and task forces and taking on special assignments; acting as a good ambassador for the organization; and identifying and recruiting additional board members.
