SCRAPBOOKING EVENTS

Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority will host two days of scrapbooking on the Millersville University campus on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. All proceeds of both events will benefit the S. June Smith Center, a service of Excentia, which provides services for children birth to age 5 who have special needs. There is a fee for both events. Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 450 W. Main St., Mountville, will hold a chicken barbecue and yard sale in the parking lot on Saturday, Sept. 15. The chicken barbecue will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. or the food is sold out. Each meal will include a halfchicken, a baked potato, a stroopie, and a beverage. A limited number of half-chickens will be available for a separate fee. Ten percent of the net proceeds of the barbecue will go to The Gate House. Parking spaces will be available to rent to yard sale sellers; the fee includes two parking spaces. The event will coincide with Mountville Day. Namaste Celebration To Offer A Taste Of India

The Indian Organization of Lancaster County (IOLC) will host its annual Namaste celebration on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Millersville University’s Student Memorial Center, 21 S. George St., Millersville. A cultural program will be h e l d a t a b o u t 2 p . m . i n t h e
