The Gen. John H. Michaelis Chapter 327 of the Korean War Veterans Association (KWVA) will meet on Wednesday, June 12, in the Eagle Commons of Woodcrest Villa, 2001 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster. The meeting will begin at noon with a free luncheon. David Manuel will speak on “The Navajo Code Talkers of WWII.” Membership in the KWVA is open to all servicemen and women who served in Korea at any time from 1945 to the present or were in uniform serving anywhere from June 25, 1950, to Jan. 31, 1955. Waystock Will Offer Fun, Music, And More Wayside Presbyterian Church, 600 Stony Battery Road, Landisville, will host the eighth annual Waystock Community Music and Family Fun Fest from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 8. A large tent and backyard pavilion will provide shade for the day, and guests are invited to bring chairs as well as nonperishable food items for the Hempfield Area Food Pantry. Waystock co-organizer Deb Kereczman noted that the festival has historically been an enjoyable event for everyone involved. “It’s such a nice setting friendly and relaxed - with everyone interacting and enjoying the fresh air, the music, and all the activities at their own pace,” she said. “We hope anyone reading this will come out and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fellowship with our community neighbors of all ages.” During Waystock, attendees may enjoy a range of free family activities,

including two bounce houses, kite flying, balloons, face painting, and picnic games. Outdoor Farmers Market To Open In Millersville

The grounds of Immerse International in Millersville will be the site of Manor Market, an outdoor farmers market that will be open once a month from June 15 through October. By Dayna M. Reidenouer

It has been five years since the borough of Millersville last saw a farmers market. That will change, however, on Saturday, June 15, when Manor Market will open on the campus of Immerse

International, 321 Manor Ave., Millersville. The outdoor farmers market will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. once a month through October and is slated to feature produce, prepared foods, meats and cheeses, crafts, and live music. See Farmers Market pg 7
