Hummelstown Area Historical Society, 32 W. Main St., has unveiled its newest exhibit, “Put a Lid on It.” Years ago, paper clips, pieces of scrap materials, thread, recipes, seed, nails, and pens were saved with the intention that they would be used on another day. The boxes, baskets, cans, and jars used to store these items were often repurposed as a storage site for something entirely different. The exhibit will remain open through September and may be viewed during normal business hours of Mondays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m. Admission is free, and donations are welcome.
