(MOAA) will host a luncheon on Thursday, March 7, at the Lancaster Country Club, 1466 New Holland Ave., Lancaster. The event will begin with a social hour at 11 a.m., with dinner and a meeting to follow. Dr. Robert A. Frick, retired school superintendent and local historian, will speak on Lancaster founder James Hamilton and Civil War hero Maj. Gen. John Reynolds. All current and past uniformed services commissioned and warrant officers are invited. Reservations are required. EAHS Performers To Stage “Seussical” Elizabethtown Area High School (EAHS), 600 E. High St., will present its spring musical, “Seussical,” on Thursday, Feb. 28, and Friday, March 1, at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, March 2, at 1 and 7 p.m. The production coincides with Dr. Seuss Day, also called National Read Across America Day, which is held every year on the school day closest to Dr. Seuss’ birthday, March 2. This year, Dr. Seuss Day will occur on March 1. The 41-person cast includes senior Ryan Kruft as The Cat in the Hat, junior Adam Evans as Horton the Elephant, sophomore Lexy Martin as Jojo, junior Claire Fritz as Gertrude McFuzz, senior Maya Hollinger as Mayzie La Bird,
sophomore Gaby Hohenwarter as the Sour Kangaroo, junior Carter Rutkowski as General Genghis Khan Schmitz, sophomore Bryan Murray as Mr. Mayor, and senior Kayla Azaroff as Mrs. Mayor. A stage and technical crew of 37 students and a 24-member pit orchestra will also be part of the production. Advance tickets are available for a set price for adults, with a discount for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased online at www.etown schools.org/theater or at the school on Monday, Feb. 25, or Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets will also be available one hour before each performance for a higher price.

The Memory Loss Support Group for Caregivers will meet on Tuesday, March 5, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Community Room at Mount Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Road. Melissa Collins, physical therapist, will lead a discussion on “Creating Home Safety for Persons With Memory Loss.”

will hold its annual Chocolate Walk on Friday, Feb. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants may visit more than 20 locations to pick up chocolates, including creations developed for the event. Ticket holders will be entered into a drawing to win one 5-pound bar of chocolate. On the days of the event, non-ticket holders may purchase tickets for a second 5-pound bar. Tickets may be purchased at https://mainstreetmountjoy.com/ chocolate-walk/ or at MSMJ’s office, 55 E. Main St., Mount Joy. Attendees should stop at the MSMJ office on the days of the event to pick up their Chocolate Walk box and instructions and to start the walk.
