theater department to put on a show during a pandemic, said Audra Brackbill, show director, who added that the show itself is well suited to the time. “I chose a play with a small cast in order to maintain social distancing,” she explained, noting that the show features a cast of eight. “And it’s a play that doesn’t have a lot of touching or physical interaction between characters.” See Fall Play pg 9

Kyla is the daughter of Brett and Melissa Collins of Marietta. She plays varsity girls’ soccer and is a member of the Varsity Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and NHS. She plays for a Donegal Youth Soccer club team and attends LCBC. She plans to attend college and major in business marketing and management. Hannah is the daughter of Brad and Michelle Dunn of Marietta. She plays varsity girls’ soccer and is a member of the Varsity Club. She also plays club soccer for Rage Xtreme. She plans to attend a fouryear college. Jessica is the daughter of Tracy Texter of Lancaster and Ryan Geary of Marietta. Jessica is co-president of yearbook and takes pictures at sporting and other school-related events. She is president of the Booster Club and a member of Women in Business, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

softball team, plays varsity soccer and club softball and attends youth group at Calvary Bible Church. She plans to attend a four-year college, where she hopes to continue her softball career. She plans to obtain a master’s degree in psychology and minor in criminal justice and pursue a career in law enforcement as a criminal psychologist. Other queen candidates, who are all seniors, included Hayley Bauer, queen runner-up Kyla Collins, Hannah Dunn, Jessica Geary, Madison Leety, Claire O’Neill, Jordynn Park, Jordyn Shank, Julianne Wheeler and Reagan Witman. Hayley, of Mount Joy, is the daughter of Scott Bauer and Susan Warfield. She is a member of the varsity girls’ soccer team and Varsity Club. Outside of school, she plays club soccer for Rage Xtreme. Her future plans include attending a four-year college and earning a degree in psychology.

onegal High School senior Aysha Gibbs was crowned homecoming queen during ceremonies held on Oct. 30. The crowning ceremony took place prior to the school’s football game against Ephrata High School. Because of COVID-19 limitations, members of the homecoming court did not have a senior escort this year. Instead, they were escorted by their parents or a family member at the game. Also in attendance at the event was Betty Grillo, the 2019 homecoming queen. The event was livestreamed on the Donegal Athletics YouTube channel. Homecoming events held prior to the game included Spirit Week, which featured dress-up themed days. Aysha is the daughter of Lenny and Melody Gibbs of Mount Joy. She is class treasurer and a member of the Link Crew, Varsity Club, National Honor Society (NHS) and Spanish Club. She is captain of the varsity
