Mount Joy Chamber of Commerce will hold its Chamber Mixer at the Milanof-Schock Library, 1184 Anderson Ferry Road, Mount Joy, on Tuesday, May 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. Attendees will be able to learn how the library can help local residents with their business needs. Dark comedy and iconic music are some of the hallmarks of George Furth and Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning “Company,” which Susquehanna Stage Company (SSC) will bring to the stage of the Marietta Center for the Arts beginning on Friday, May 10, for its first musical of the 2019 season. The plot revolves around Bobby, a 35-year-old bachelor who finds himself unable to fully commit to a long-term relationship - despite having multiple girlfriends. Josh Schwartz, who will be making his SSC debut portraying Bobby, explained that his character instead gets to see the ins and outs of marriage through all of his married friends. “He seems to live vicariously through his friends over the course of the show,” Schwartz said. “Most of the time he views marriage through a

Fun For All At Marietta Day Marietta Day will take place rain or shine on Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The town-wide “flea market” yard sale event is a 40-year-old tradition. There is no admission cost. “The Marietta Day committee has a vision to maintain the original town-wide ‘yard sale’ and also build upon tradition with old-fashioned fair-type carnival games (and) enhanced food offerings including local farmers and growers,” said Bob Heiserman, who has been running Marietta Day for more than 20 years. Market Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for the day as residents and businesses sell their wares and entertain visitors. Food vendors will be set up as well. Heart Of Lancaster Show To Debut Spring Event

Over the years, Heart of Lancaster Arts and Craft Show founder and chairperson Marilyn Hobday received numerous requests from exhibitors for a spring show to be added into the calendar in
